I had last year bought a house which needed renovating and enlisted Splendid Kitchens (Chris) to install the kitchen. At first I met Chris whom acted as the Sales manager that works for Splendid kitchens. He drew up a the 3d plans and quoted us. We checked his references and accepted to pay the 50% deposit he asked for. This was in 2nd week October. The Kitchen was meant to be done in December but due to delays in the building work we delayed the kitchen to middle January. Chris and his team duly arrived in middle Jan with the carcuses and dropped them off at the site. Then requested a further 40%. This is were the problems started. After receiveing the 40% payment he and his team disappeared for 3 weeks. In middle Feb they arrived and installed the carcuses onto the walls and then disappeared for another 2 weeks. Then waited for his sub contractors to come install the tops. they came and installed sub standard tops that was all chipped and cut wrong. In March they came and started installing the doors. Each time they came was for a couple of hours at most and only for 1 day. Then there was a snag list that we put together and this is when Chris and team disappeared. He then hadnt bothered coming at all or when we call he promised to come but dont pitch. All sorts of excuses from being sick to team being sick to being on holiday...I heard the lot. By end Jan the Builders was done and had to complete the kitchen (tiling and applainces) this was delayed by Chris which cost me more to have the builder stay on to complete the work the builders team moving onto another job. By middle March we were ready to move into the house but Chris wouldnt come and finish the work. This cost me in having to pay to stay at the other place and the new place as the kitchen wasnt finished. By 1 April I moved and had given Chris notice to cancel the agreement for non performance. We went back to all the references to understand if this was something maybe another customer experienced only to unravel that most of the references were actually Chris's friends. The reason I say Chris, is after more investigating we found no other person working for Splendid kitchens and he is listed as the owner of the Bank accounts of Splendid Kitchens. There is no factory that he has...also should have stayed away from this guy owing to having no showroom also. All I can say is stay away from SPLENDID KITCHENS AND CHRIS otherwise you will be out of pocket and out kitchen...sadly like me.

I worked with Chris, very professional, hardworking and went the extra mile to ensure I was happy with the finished product. My kitchen looks amazing and the prices were good too. From start to finish everything went as per schedule. There was a few things that needed fixing which they were happy to do. eg. one cupboard was a bit off, one off the granite kick plates were loose. All fixed up. I love my new kitchen.
