Ordered food at 19:48
operator Miranda said orders taking 45-60 mins after I asked I the store was busy.
Said yes they are a bit busy but they also have a new driver.
I appreciate that she was upfront and accepted this.
I call back at 20:45 to find out if purser on its way. I say I'm wanting to follow up on my order but before I get to finish my sentence I am told by a very rude gentleman that they not doing deliveries because they have no drivers and I can collect if I'd like. Immediately I ask to speak to Miranda.
She also starts making excuses about the driver not back in store and argues that she said it would be approximately 60 minutes. By this time the order is already late. Miranda too follows the sale behavior the gentleman did and does not allow me to finish my sentence. To the point where I had to raise my voice and get quite agitated and ask her to allow me to finish my sentence. I probably told her how to do her job right now. All I wanted was an approximate waiting time and to be kept update which she did very well after I explained to her what she should be doing. I should have received a phone call and told that my order actually running more late than what I was expecting. I asked Miranda to check my pizza and make sure it's in a decent shape by the time it gets delivered because it was sitting on a warmer tone where getting dried out. The driver arrives here. Looking rather scruffy. Delivering my food. That I need to eat still. He has no sense of urgency and seemed very delayed and relaxed. That's why your orders are running late. The food was bad. This pizza wasn't checked. The pasta had thickened so badly and it had this film across it which tells me it was standing for a while. Which we all know it was. Driver arrived at 21:11. No Parmesan cheese like I should get. A few points to consider when making contact with me.
My pizza was cold when it arrived.

1. You cannot have a new driver on duty on a public holiday let alone the only driver
2. Driver should be very well presented and clean
3. Communicate with your customers when they are running late keep them updated.
4. Check the food before leaving the store if the order is that late.
5. That was a waste of my R125.80

terrible service and food from your staff

Last night at 20:55 myself and 5 teenage kids went to St Elmo's in Woodstock for supper. Upon entering the restaurant i noticed that there were no other patrons. My daughter and my niece then ordered a pizza knowing which toppings they wanted, placed the order and at the same time i went and checked out the menu. As the payment was being made i noticed that they had a special on a Tuesday which i was not aware of. i then told the kids to ask if they could cancel the order and exchange it for the special instead and this way we could share a more filling portion among the 6 of us and it just works out more economical for us. The person who had now move from the back came to the front and we asked whether we could change the order and he refused to and his reasoning was very unaccommodating. he said that he would have to explain why is was cancelled and that we did not have a valid enough reason and if he were to cancel he would then need to pay for our order. i think that service would be better if the cashier had told us about the Tuesday special. There was already no one else there and you cant help but wonder why not.

St Elmos Claremont has the worst tasting food, their bolognaise tastes like water and even my dogs will not eat it. i phoned them the next day to inform this of this and possibly recieve a refund however they told me they will not do that as i did not phone the same day, yet it was a delivery so from hunger we had to eat the terrible food. We didnt even eat half of it. The pizza with salami rocket and tomatos, some of the slices literally only have 1 piece of tomato on. they obviously freeze ad then re heat pre-made frozen foods ordered from a cheap place. i thought resturants are ment to make the food themselves. disgusting and useless
