These are shocking managing agents , who have **** to us , owners in a sectional title development , regarding repairs to our units , expenses that are clearly not in line with the budget . Stay away from them, they are totally ***********

These are shocking managing agents , who have **** to us , owners in a sectional title development , regarding repairs to our units , expenses that are clearly not in line with the budget . Stay away from them, they are totally ***********

Gosh where do I even start. I am unfortunately a tenant with this pathetic property management. 1. The staff, Taleah and Kim are the literal worst to deal with, they are rude and unprofessional to say the least (how these people are in office is beyond me). 2. The owners are even worse, their nephew comes and does inspections and notifies you a day ahead of time and when you request that they do things professionally by emailing or scheduling proper dates they threaten you with warning letters 3. Rental amount gets increased but they don't fix anything, literally nothing has been fixed for the year that they have taken over the property. Firstly how can you increase the rent by the building is not even up to standard. 4. They do renovations without even alerting tenants ahead of time. 5. Contractors sleep over in the vacant apartments but are cause a ruckus on weekends because they drink alcohol and make noise. 6. We have to make keys for a laundry line area at our expense (that they have blocked off due to renovations on garages). 7. Fellow tenants continue to break noise/braai rules. 8. Homeless people sleep on and urinate on the property. 9. The caretaker is the literal worse. Albert's takes actions without thought that negatively impacts tenants. A. There are only 2 wheelie bins on the property that is supposed to accommodate 18 apartments, which gets taken out on a Friday only (one can imagine what it looks like comes Wednesday already). B. She doesn't check the property, maintenance work doesn't get checked or done. 10. The gates are not working properly - I have requested on 2 occasions that they fix the entry gate because the arm closure needs to be replaced as the adjustment setting is broken so when the gate is closed it bangs really loud. 11. There is no parking allowed on the property due to the garages being converted into apartments, imagine tenants now having to park on the road and risk their cars being broken into, which already happened where 3 cars was broken into including my own. This is just a few issues that tenants are complaining about this property management. There are many more issues that would end up being a book if I continue. So do yourself a favour and Do Not proceed with steer and co. They do not assist the tenants, all they care about is money.

Very poor service. I was burgled very recently and informed the letting agency immediately. I was told that from Steer Side security of the apartments are the responsibility of tenant. Further I am not aware of any steps taken to improve security. On top of this the vehicular gate has been broken for a number of days. Despite repeated emails and 10 or more phone calls Steer does not appear to manage their security company or verify that works have been done. And during the time that the vehicular gate has not been operational Once again it appears that there was another attempt to break into my apartment. This after informing Steer and Co about the issue multiple times. The managing agent even argued with me about the gate being fixed while I was standing directly in front of it. When I asked for the contact details of the company that repairs the gate the agent was unwilling to give me the number and I was told that the security company had been trying to contact me. Only after an entire days calling and mailing did a receive a phone call where the security company once again told me the gate has been fixed. What a terrible service. Clearly indicates complete disregard for of tenant concerns and safety.
