We recently discovered Stodels in Bergvliet and what a pleasure it was. We were greeted by several staff members as we walked in and were given good advice on a few issues. The checkout staff were quick and efficient as was the delivery service. They have a great selection of garden pots as well as plants and come highly recommended

Very toxic environment. In the beginning they paint you a beautiful picture and then comes the toxicness. Very high staff turnover. Head office can't follow their own values and learn from yesterday, always blame the staff or Managers for their mistakes. Business is run very unprofessional and in chaos, creating confusion. The operations Manager will say one thing and the next day another and say he didn't say it, personality of someone that have Bipolar. The problem is with the Operations of the Company. It's so toxic that all staff leaving there end up with psychological problems due to the trauma. When you take Head office on they find a way to get rid of you, especially those who don't have a clue of the section your work in. Very narcissistic and can't take blame. The gossip there is so bad and the Ops is the first to spread it, especially confidential staff matters. He hides a lot from the owner and if the staff want to go to the owner, he works you out. He also do his investigations half. They have KPAs that is a complete hoax to save bonuses and increases to allow them paying out minimum to save money. There is other ways to make a success, but they continue with their theories that just does not work. How can staff be liable for maintenance and get scored on that when it's unexpected expenses. Or sales when the customers don't want to come to Stodels. When the staff do their best to upsell. We are busy getting statements from 100ds of ex employees to provide to the Owner of Stodels or the Labour law department for an investigation. People who never got sick got sick with depression in the first few months of employment. My advise to them, change your theories, change your procedures, change the people in charge, they are killing the business and the well being of staff. Take the blame and work on it instead of being in denial. 100ds of people can't be wrong. Follow the values YOU created.

I sent an email to Stodels on the 14 August 2024 asking a simple question on chicken manure. I'm still waiting a reply even after sending a follow-up on 4 November. Not even acknowledging my email. Besides not having received any replies, I followed up with messages three times on "Messenger" and all I received was an apology and that the matter would be taken further. I'm still to this day haven't heard anything further. It appears that Stodels have no interest in their customers when it comes to customer service.

I did some garden shopping at the Stodels at the Somerset Mall and from the display on the outside, to where you enter the nursery, all is just nice. The staff is super friendly and helpful and they have something of everything. All your garden needs are catered for. And even though their prices are good, you get a further discount if you are a club member.

Good afternoon I've been an avid Stodels ( KC and Bellville) client for the last 20 years and not ever have I have bad service. This Week (30 Jan and 1 Feb 2023) I received OUTSTANDING customer service from Bellville Front Desk Ladies and from two very awesome floor staff members - Aunty Louisa and Brandon.. Please there is 3 Brandon's, Aunty Louisa will know which one or better ref to the pics I will post on FB as to who he is. I would just like to say thank you so much for all the effort, time and attention given to the problem that I had. You both ROCK

Indoor plants have pest infestations: I saw spider mites and aphids and didn’t want to look any further. Totally unacceptable because it will spread the pests and ruin your plants if you buy them and take them home. I was at the store last month when they weren’t too busy and one of the tellers was singing at the top of her lungs and dancing in the front area of the store which I found extremely unprofessional. The manager was not far away but didn’t do anything about it until I called him aside to say that I found it extremely off putting.

Took my 2-year-old son to play and feed the animals to the 1 in Brackenfell, the place was very nice, staff were all pleasant and helpful, will def be going there again! food was amazing! value for money
