rude and defensive owners
The owners of this resort are very rude and should not be in the hospitality industry. I just read other reviews on this site of them being defensive and I too experienced this.......There are plenty of other resorts in Magaliesburg to visit with far better hospitality.......I will never return to this resort......

The owners of this resort are very rude and should not be in the hospitality industry. I just read other reviews on this site of them being defensive and I too experienced this.......There are plenty of other resorts in Magaliesburg to visit with far better hospitality.......I will never return to this resort......

Excellent service all around
Stone Hill, Magaliesburg - what an absolute gem! Awesome hiking trails which one can also cycle, absolutely 100% pet friendly and our personal home - away from - home sanctuary. Excellent service, breakfast and lovely ambience. Definitely worth a visit - have booked our December getaway already!!!

Excellent service all around
Stone Hill, Magaliesburg - what an absolute gem! Awesome hiking trails which one can also cycle, absolutely 100% pet friendly and our personal home - away from - home sanctuary. Excellent service, breakfast and lovely ambience. Definitely worth a visit - have booked our December getaway already!!!

Snakes at Stone Hill - Magaliesburg
I would like to inform people who are planning to visit this accommodation in Magaliesburg, Gauteng that they need to be aware of snakes that we came across at the cottage we stayed at which ruined our experience. We stayed at White Stinkwood Tree Cottage and were visited by 3 snakes (of different kinds) in the same day. We had our three four legged babies with us and luckily none of them were harmed. I know this is rustic lodge in the bush, but come on, the owners did not inform us in any way that we should be expecting snakes from time to time. You can have the decency to warn people that are planning to visit your accommodation. Your booking confirmation letter also did not say anything about snake encounters. We left the very same day that we had these encounters with the snakes as we were afraid for ours and our fur babies safety. The owners also became very defensive when we informed them of the snakes. Nobody blamed them for the snakes coming to our cottage but they automatically became defensive. It was our first time in this area and if we were warned by the owners that we could expect snakes we would have never booked here. That very same night we drove home as we were really scared for our's and our dogs safety. We urge you, the owners of this establishment, put up a notice on your website and at the cottages warning people about snake encounters. Being bitten by a snake is serious. Top quality product and Customer service.
Stone Hill Seat Cover Manufacturer exeeds all expectations. I have requested additional leather inserts 3 years after I purchased the seet covers and it was done immediately free of charge. Excellent workmanship!
