Dishonest and poor workmanship - we had Tiny come in and give us a quote towards end April, we were advised a deposit was due in order to keep quote at was was quoted within 3 days. Regardless, this was done. We too were advised what we wanted would take about 6-8 weeks for completion after 5 months, we called it a day. Nothing but issues and broken promised the project started 6 May. Every week we were advised that today they were doing this or that, and bits were done here and there, nothing was ever completed. Today the builders would come, tomorrow they wouldn't, it was always excuses after excuses. Every time we were advised to pay a deposit it had to be an immediate payment so the builders could get going...an absolute joke. After meeting 3x with our dissatisfaction, we realized this was a disaster! Walls that were plastered were already cracking. Everything in the house was incomplete, bits done here and there. Needless to say, we then got our own painter in to get things going, our own tiler or we would still be waiting...nothing but empty promises. Tiny new a refund was due to us for items paid, even with proof of paperwork, we never to this day received our refund. Deposits paid for kitchen cupboards we never received. A family who claims to be so godly, turns out, to be nothing but dishonest, I wonder how he sleeps at night, knowing you owe someone, yet never refunded. Would never recommend Stratze Projects to anyone if you living in the South, you probably would face the same issues!!

The building company Stratze Projects Gauteng ( Tiny and Leon Strauss) we chose claimed to have 17 years of experience however...should have been a early warning sign tiled over wooden floors and doesn't even use Damp course on the first layer of building a wall which will leave us with Damp for years to come. Their work and the way they speak to their clients leaves much to be desired... Just a few key milestones of this nearly year journey -they quoted us in January assuring us they have worked with banks before and know the procedure -demanded a R50000 deposit prior to starting because apparently material prices were increasing by 52% - promised my self and my family the job would be complete by the end of August.. Granted there were a couple of changes we wanted to make which we asked them first and not once did they say it wasn't possible... - a Further R224000 was paid to this construction company. -on several occasions they advised they had no money so I offered to purchase some of the materials (baths, toilets, basins, entire kitchen, ceilings and tiles.) this way the contractor wouldn't lay out money. -claimed to have paid their roof supplier in July and the supplier whom they have worked with for years couldn't deliver the 153sqm roof before December. - they sent a foreman to the site every day who is his own words "Knows F&$# all about building -at the most sent maybe 5 guys to site with an average of 3 guys working maybe 4 hours a day... Which I numerously complained to him about as the project has taken over 7 months. -my mother and father in law receive several complaints from his own workers that they were not getting paid.. -he then withdrew due to non payment of extra work done which I have in writing that I agree pay but would pay 50% first then the balance once they had completed what was agreed to Which again we compromised because we wanted these for lack of a better word "bakkie builders" done and out of our lives. -the truth is they withdrew over stupid reasons, they spent my money on other ventures (boxing school/other projects etc). Regardless of that I just wanted my deposit back so I could finish the job he couldn't afford to finish To say that this experience has nearly cost me my marriage as well as put my relationship with my family and friends on the back burner is an understatement. I literally wanted to end this situation where both parties compromised and came out happy.. -I've even got other builders out to come to see if they can fix it and they won't guarantee the work because of the poor workmanship and quality that is here. i have had inspect a home inspect the work and they have advise that the workmanship is shoddy and that a handful of building regulations have not been adhered to. all i can say is that we are utterly disgusted on how they conduct business and this is supposedly a "christian" man but none the less the necessary steps are being taken. and they will have to be accountable for their actions
