What a dump!!! I had our vice president and various other directors stay for the night last week Thursday. When they were given their cards to their rooms they found that there were people already sleeping in these rooms, this happened twice, on a 3rd attempt at a room they were offered rooms without locking mechanisms. They were eventually accommodated in the student accommodation where there were drunk and passed out people in the passages. Not to mention that the rooms was filthy as well as the linen. I have attempted to speak to the general manager since Friday even phoning on the weekend only to be told she is not available. I have left two messages that this is urgent. When you google this hotel is shows 4 stars but below says 3.9. I am so humiliated that I put top management through this hotel of horrors and mortified that they do not appear to give a damn.

The service in the restaurant is terrible! I booked a table for 15 people for a birthday and was assured everything was booked by the lovely lady on the phone. She took my details and the call ended, only to find out on the said night as the party arrived that the booking had never been made, the manager at the desk said that there was meant to be a deposit paid, they haven't cooked anything so we should leave. They didn't offer an apology, any resolution or assistance in terms of making a new booking or some sort of compensation, instead they argued that I should have taken the name of the lady I spoke with so they can deal accordingly. This is unacceptable as a business to brush of customers this way, it was a huge inconvenience and dampened the mood of a very special day. I would expect a sense of remorse in the tone however we were met with a defensive attitude. Appalled Izzy.

<p>Since Tuesday night when I checked into this hotel I have had endless problems maintenance wise.</p> <p>Tuesday night: toilet, tv and telephone</p> <p>Wednesday: toilet, tv and horrible attitude from guest services</p> <p>Thuraday: toilet, tv and telephone and again not taken seriously by ladies at reception.</p> <p>In the midst of this, after advising we have 1 Muslim lady attending the course, no lunch arrangements were made, the chef didn't even care to assist with anything on Wednesday, Thursday they forgot to order lunch for her and Friday at tea time all snacks prepared had pork, total disregard to the Muslim lady.</p> <p>I wouldn't advise anyone to ever stay here. The manager visited my room on Wednesday after I asked for him and offered a better room, which I later took up but upon inspection that room's aircon wasn't working and tv signal was poor so I decided to stay in my room, since then, Noone has even had the courtesy to check if I'm ok or how else they can make the rest of my stay more bearable, knowing that I've still had constant issues. I even sent an email to ********** an email address on their website where I advised them about my issues, and till today, I haven't received a response. 0 for customer and guest services for you Summerstrand Hotel. </p>

<p>I booked 2 rooms on Wed 15/06 for 16/06 for 2 nights and paid the deposit with CC, when we arrived there was no booking and no record of my deposit. I was told that it would be sorted out on 17/06 by accounts / reservations, now 18h00 and still no feedback. further when showering water just disappears then belts out hot water, went to breakfast and asked for poached eggs and got fried eggs, no bottled water in rooms. needed to send urgent email to a customer but couldnot because no one on duty including the duty manager did not know the settings for the WiFi (smtp settings) one problem is ok, 2 problems is still accepted but this is redicilous!!!! such a pity as it is such a beautiful hotel but totally miss managed!!!!</p>
