I would rate them as zero stars I went to the spar in Chatsworth center and wanted a cashback I askes almost all the cashiers and all said no cash When I was about to walk out a lady who i assume is some sort of manager asked what's the problem i explained to her and she rep**** to me in harsh tone that there was a change of cashiers just before that I then walked out and decided to ask the ask the cashier at the cigarette counter for a cashback She said no problem she can help me but I must buy something for R50 I said ok and did so When i finished my transaction I asked the cashier who said people must buy something for R50 or more to get a cashback Her was that it comes from management Now i wonder if the same applies to people collecting their government pension from this spar I take out money from Queensmead spar and there is no such rule that a person must buy something for R50 or more

Chatsworth spar always has a problem with stock I drove to purchase something that was advertised.went on the first day the special was on.no stock. this has happened before.no.issue at other spars, only Chatsworth..and Chatsworth spar doesn't give a call back like other stores. the lady at the butchery said stock would arrive the next day at around 10 am.I decided to call.called several times before I got an answer, but whn transferred to the correct department someone answers and cuts the call..eventually someone did answer. he advised that I must leave my number and when the stock arrives he will call Mr back.still waiting . Poor service.even when u visit the management and most staff have no courtesy.I must add the service of the manager at Hillary spar is superb compared to Chatsworth

I visited the Chatsworth Superspar today 23rd July 2024 approximately 12 noon. I accompanied my mum who is widow and pensioner of 78 years of age. There were other family with me all pensioners. They saw an adverti*****t in the local weekly newspaper The Rising Sun advertising Chatsworth Superspar specials and a crazy Wednesday deals. One item in particular was the Five Rose's teabags blue box packaging marker ked R25.00 for 100 teabags. They saw this a bargain or good deal. Remember I am talking about pensioners every cent counts. I was amazed at the service not only I received for my mum a pensioner but witnessed other pensioners pr less fortunate was treated. The product in question Five Rose's teabags was available today 23rd July. When we got to the store there was nothing available. We asked 1 employee who advised stock did not arrive. The other employee mentioned the manager can assist with the bigger package which was 200 Five Rose's discounted for he 100 Five Rose's advertised as there is no stock. We get to the till call for the manager to assist but wasn't helpful. He refused to give a reign check as he claimed no stock or could not assist with the boxes with 200 teabags. Not my mum and other family who are pensioners many others in the store felt the same. There was another manager who makes a statement everything was finished by 7am. If I see goggle the store only opens at 8am. One name of the manager was Ivan who claimed he's the groceries manager. I asked for the store manager Ivan refused to call him or give his details and claimed the manager just left the store. Other people in the stored complained about many things false advertising, no stock always. The shelf had only Five Rose's 200 and no where was a shelf empty with Five Rose's 100 boxes. This is time consuming; transportation and money. Pensioners already have less and this false advertising bring them to the store for nothing. It is frustrating and annoying. Stop false advertising and wasting people time and money. Give people a reign check if you no stock. It is not the customer's fault if your products wasn't delivered on time.

So spar chatsworth centre is advertising meat at R98 per kg and my 70 year old mother takes an Uber from queensburgh to them at R150 there and R150 back. She gets to the counter. Asks a lady to cut her a half lamb but the lady says we already cut and hands her a pre packed packet at R480 approx. So in total R780 spent. She gets home and the meat is what only he described as rotten and off and stinks up my entire kitchen. So yesterday 28th June I called the store 4 times with no answer and again today 4 times. The first I I an answer and they dropped the call when I asked to whom am I speaking to and there after didn't answer the 3 times I called back.my take on this store is that they are dishonest. This I say because not only are they selling rotten meat but also falsely advertised it at R98/kg but on the till slip it is actually R109.99/kg. What's more is they don't answer their phones because they know what they are doing and they.... I would like them to come fetch their rotten meat and get a full refund with my Uber fees included and I will never shop there again or suggest anyone spend their hard earned money at a store with ********* practices like spar chatsworth centre especially when it comes to food and not in

On Sunday 20/03/2024 I went to Spar to purchase some rolls. There was 3 customers in front of me at the bakery counter. The first left, the 2nd was not attended to however, sometimes preferential treatment and then the customer who was being served was 2 and the teller took for ages servicing them...and I just for rolls had to wait like 45 minutes....when I complained the teller telling me why am I shouting! I rep**** I am not shouting I am talking and haven't got the whole day just in Spar! She and customers she was servicing began mumbling in their own language! When she served me there was no apologies etc....no courtesy from Spar staff....this was very aggravating and frustrating!

Can we return items at SPAR? At SPAR. Our endeavor is to bring you Superior Quality Products at all times, If, for some reason you wish to exchange, we would be pleased do so within 14 days from the date of purchase against submission of Original invoice to the same store. The above is on the net. On trying to return a detergent, I was told by the floor supervisor that I would need to speak to a Manager Ravi, who was on his way down to speak to me.. After waiting in the store- superspar chatsworth for +-30 minutes, during this time the lady at information made numerous calls to him. He did not show. The last call to him, he decided to speak to me over the phone after making me wait. . Ravi the groceries manager was rude and refused to refund one item (laundry detergent)bought yesterday, less than 24 hours. The reason given to me was, to avoid me purchasing it today for a few rands cheaper. He has no management skills. He made me wait and in my opinion lack people's skill.
