I made my first order with Spar2U this morning. It arrived within an hour and a half. Everything was there in good order and as ordered. I am very impressed with the service.

Blatant attempt to de***** customers or a genuine mistake. I do not know so I will let the reader decide. This morning, we go to Superspar Port Edward for a couple of items and to take advantage of the special they have running on Beef Mince. R99.99 per kg. I enquire at the butchery counter and am told nope they are not currently running a special on beef mince. So, I show them the advertised special. Off we go to the floor managers at the front. Yes, they are running a special. All the butcher needs to do is weigh out a kilo of mince and it will be adjusted at the tills as they are unable to adjust the butchery till for some reason. So butchery weighs out a kilo of mince and off we go to the main tills to pay after shopping. Cashier says mince has no price tag. Yes, I say the supervisors know about the problem and the pricing will be done at the front tills. Yes, but they need a bar code. So off they go to the butchery to get the incorrectly priced bar code sticker. Comes back at R129.99/kg so 1.002kg is R130.25 but Sir do not worry our front till is set to the R99.99 price. Look on the screen you will see. Sure enough beef mince R99.99 per kg. The mince goes through and when I get the till slip, I check it (Sorry I am an old skelem myself being many years in the motor trade) Yes, Beef Mince is R99.99 kg but the price is still R130.25. Looking deeper at the slip I see that the weight has been changed to read 1.303kg not 1.002kg like the butchery scale indicated. Cashier and supervisor cannot explain, and I do not expect them to. This is a management problem. So I demand to see a manager. Not one to be found. So no, I have not taken this up with management as they conveniently disappeared when I started throwing my toys out of my pram. Be warned folks. Check your till slips when shopping. I am not for one minute saying this applies to all Spars as they are independently owned but what I am saying is buyer beware.
