I placed an order on 12 Sep 2024, I was told the mirror will be completed in 6 weeks. After 13 weeks the mirror is still not done. As a result it was only delivered in January and the mirror was cracked when I received it. They took the mirror back same day after a week I received another mirror only to found out the 2nd delivered mirror doesn’t have hooks at the back. When I call them they said they apologise they will send someone at my house to install hooks. I requested that whoever is coming to install hooks must also install the mirror to the wall cause I had already paid a contractor to come and do it but because the mirror didn’t have hooks it could not be installed and that can’t be my fault. He refused and said they will only install the hooks. The guy came and only installed hooks to allow the mirror to only be installed vertically and he said if I want it horizontally I must hire someone to do it for me. The same mirror I saw from my friend which she bought from SHF and she installed it vertically and horizontally now it can’t be done for me and I am paying almost R2000 more than she bought it for. So when I said if they can’t install the hooks they can keep the mirror and refund me I was told they won’t come and fetch the mirror I must return it to them if I need a refund. During the back and forth of the mirror he had the nerve to tell me that I must understand he’s spending money for the back and forth which have nothing to do with me. I’m not the one who was *********** enough to deliver a mirror without hooks or do quality check before delivery. If anything I’m affected by their incompetence and delays. This was the worst and stressful sale I ever made in my life. Never been so stressed spending my money on anything like on this purchase. THIS WAS CERTAINLY THE LAST SALE FROM ME.

The worst retail experience. We bought a table which was to take 6-8 weeks to manufacture, not even a complicated design but ok... we were supposed to get some kind of communication on the progress, it was radio silence until we went back, the lady took our details and a week later still no call... we called and could not get anyone to assist us for hours. When we eventually did, the guy tells us he was on leave and it's not his job to make follow ups... anyway...its now 8 weeks and we were promised delivery this week...again, radio silence. When we called and eventually got someone to assist, they said not this week but they will call back. Days later we had to call again and are now told delivery will take 3 more weeks!! I am horrified by their non-chalant, terrible service. We still have no table and are now trying to get a refund. Judging by the other reviews, their quality is questionable.... Do not do it!!

SHF does not keep to their deliver targets. I was promised that delivery of our bedroom suite would be in 8 weeks. 10 weeks later the wanted to deliver with one time missing and I refused. So we are now into the eleventh week and I have no idea when delivery will happen. I am appalled at this service.

SHF Home Furniture value their “protocol” over their clients. Due to bad experiences with them in the past, I wanted to pay the balance owed to them in two parts. Part 1 as required & part 2 once goods arrive on my premises & checked by myself. The balance was a very small amount. I was informed that under no circumstances would they be able to consider this. Very sad!!

Part 1 as required & part 2 once goods arrive on my premises & checked by myself. The balance was a very small amount. I was informed that under no circumstances would they be able to consider this. I ordered a couch for manufacture, the invoice clearly states the leather price separately and the company they are purchasing from. I subsequently got a quote for leather from the company directly for another project and realised that SHF more than doubled the cost on their invoice. They are simply looking for ways to charge the consumer extra! Furthermore, the couch was delayed by a week past the expected date of completion. And I never received any updates other than an email when manufacturing began more than a month prior yo me having to contact them. I dealt with Juanita Tucker and Khanyi Kunene

I ordered a couch for manufacture, the invoice clearly states the leather price separately and the company they are purchasing from. I subsequently got a quote for leather from the company directly for another project and realised that SHF more than doubled the cost on their invoice. They are simply looking for ways to charge the consumer extra! Furthermore, the couch was delayed by a week past the expected date of completion. And I never received any updates other than an email when manufacturing began more than a month prior yo me having to contact them. I dealt with Juanita Tucker and Khanyi Kunene

If I could give this company a 0 rating I would. I first used SHF in 2021 and received terrible customer service and damaged goods. The console table ordered was badly scratched which was then replaced by a console with skew legs. The third table delivered had the holes for the bolts at unequal positions. After a period of 8 months, a console table in good condition with no defects was received. The entire back-and-forth experience was a nightmare and SHF staff in-store have no sense of customer care. Now, in 2023 I thought I would give SHF the benefit of the doubt and order a bed and chair. The items took 6 weeks to deliver upon which they were both damaged. I returned to the Kramerville store and was advised by Roxanne that they needed to take both items with them. Having bought a new apartment, and waiting to move in once a bed is in place, a further 6 week wait time means paying for an apartment for another 2 months that I can't move into. Upon advising Roxanne of this, she stated that if they left the bed there they would charge me for an upliftment fee. The idea that a customer should be charged to deal with defective products is ridiculous as it is in no way my fault your lead time for products is 6 weeks. When mentioning that the chair had stains Roxanne stated "how can it be damaged it was made new" implying other products delivered are maybe not new and are repaired from previous orders. Suffice to say I would never recommend this company and will not be giving them another chance. The nonchalant attitude that the staff takes to queries is indicative that they don't care about the customer experience or product satisfaction.

These guys sell junk.It looks attractive in the shop but it's terrible. I bought an Oak sleigh bed which is making noise since the day I bought it about 5 months ago.Within 2 days of delivery I called the to rectify this.They came and did some adjustments and it was silent for a week, then it started again until today.I paid a fortune for that bed .I am really disappointed. I wouldn't recommend anyone to buy such a bed from these guys

My order was supposed to be delivered in 8 weeks and I was told that I would be informed should anything change. It is now been 9 weeks and there has been zero communication from SHF. I have emailed their customer services (Khanyi Kunene) numerous times and called but I still have not received any update on my order. I even messaged the salesperson (Louise) who gracefully assisted me with my purchase and she has not been able to give me an update on my order from their customer service manager Mitchell. It is very frustrating to just be left in the dark after spending so much money. I would not recommend buying from SHF at all after this horrible experience.
