I am absolutely appalled by the treatment we received at SuzieQ’s Restaurant and Music Bar on March 28, 2025, during Dirk van der Westhuizen’s performance. Initially, the night was going well—we were enjoying our time, ordering food and drinks, and minding our own business. However, just before 11 PM, the power was cut, leaving the venue in complete darkness. Rather than letting this ruin our evening, my friends and I decided to make the most of it, singing along and keeping the atmosphere lively. Unfortunately, this is when Cindy, the owner, completely lost control. A glass was accidentally broken at a nearby table, and instead of handling the situation professionally, Cindy began aggressively throwing and shoving chairs to make space for cleanup. Her reaction was completely disproportionate, making a scene and visibly lashing out in frustration. As the night continued, Cindy’s behavior became even more unhinged. One of my friends, who happens to be a close friend of her son, was joking around (as people do in a bar setting). The noise level in the venue was already high, meaning we had to raise our voices just to hear one another. Cindy then stormed over, screamed at her own child in front of everyone, and proceeded to grab my friend by the arm, shouting profanities in her face. At first, we genuinely thought she was joking, but it quickly became evident that this was a full-blown outburst. Cindy continued to curse, scream, and berate us for “disrespecting” her—while ironically being the most unprofessional and disrespectful person in the room. Then, in an absolutely humiliating display, she shined a light directly in my face and started shouting at me as well, accusing me of laughing at her and “screaming.” The irony? She was the only one screaming. Let me be clear: We are regulars at this establishment. For the past three years, we have brought new customers, supported the staff, and treated this venue like a second home. To be treated this way—**as if we were some kind of nuisance, simply for existing in a public space—**is beyond insulting. There is no excuse for this kind of behavior. Whether Cindy was drunk, in a foul mood, or simply incapable of managing her own establishment professionally, it does not justify verbally abusing paying customers, physically grabbing people, and publicly humiliating guests. I will never return to this venue, nor will I recommend it to anyone else. If this is how SuzieQ’s values its loyal customers—by treating them like dirt the moment something doesn’t go their way—then it is clear that customer service, loyalty, and basic human decency mean absolutely nothing to them. This was, without question, the most degrading, disrespectful, and embarrassing experience I have ever had in a public setting. Avoid this place at all costs.

I contacted sakina and spoke to her. I wanted a brown hairdo with blonde underneath. She quoted me R450. Okay cool. Went to where she worked last - she wasn't there. Petrol wasted. After a few times trying to get ahold of her she eventually told me she moved to 6 Kudu ave. Cool. Upon arrival she "forgot" what I wanted and can't remember the conversation we had. She then went on and said no it'll be extra by which I replied I just wanted to cover up the regrowth. Okay. She did a very bad job. I asked her beforehand cash or card and she did not respond. Alright, trusted her enough to send her with my card to deduct R500. She gave my card back but she kept The R500. Upon further inspection I saw that this business actually has a card machine. Alright. Yes I did compliment her because I'm not someone who complains. She tried to sell some treatment to me to help with my "dry hair" which was cut a week prior. I would not recommend her. We contacted her regarding a refund - got rudeness back and a refusal for the refund. Attached you'll see pictures of how it turned out. Vs what I wanted. She did a few highlights and toned it out.
