Awesome place to unplug and reconnect

What a great place to relax, regroup and unwind! We spent a long weekend at Swartkop cottage near Winterton, just before the Covid Lockdown. The venue is remote, with basically no cellphone coverage. :) Wonderful! The cottage is equipped with a gas hob and a gas freezer/fridge, a donkey boiler for hot water, and solar for lights. It is situated right above the Tugela river, which provided us with hours and hours of good fishing where we caught Yellowfish and Barbel. We could paddle up the river in our canoe (Gustav was good to lend us a paddle because we forgot ours at home :) ) The cottage was neat and clean and we loved the deck. The bird life is fantastic, and it was also a good place to ride our mountain bikes. A Great Big Thank You to Gustav and Nerissa for your welcome and hospitality!
