INSURANCE ***** AS A WHOLE, NOT PAYING FOR DAMAGES CAUSED NOR 8 WEEKS WORTH OF TRAVELLING 5 WEEKS SINCE SHELL DAMAGING YOUR CARS ENGINE AND SKIPPING OUT ON RESPONSIBILITY INCLUDING HEAD OFFICE!!! SHELL DAMAGING YOUR CARS ENGINE AND SKIPPING OUT ON RESPONSIBILITY!!! On Saturday 28 June 2025, I filled up my petrol and oil at Shell Address: 1 Orange St, Cape Town City Centre, Cape Town, 8001, preparing for a long trip to the West Coast Saldanha bay. The supervisor and petrol attendant were screaming and shouting at each other so badly that people were uneasy simply standing there. After checking that the attend was throwing the oil in the correct place I got back into my car waiting for him to finish up while he was still arguing and screaming at his supervisor. The attend left the petrol hose in my car and walked away, so far that I had to go look for him to take the hose out of my car so that I could pay and leave. He eventually got back to my car and closed the engine and took the hose out so that I could pay and leave. Thinking everything is fine I drove down noticing my car over heating slowly like never before. When I stopped the car to open the engine and check myself, I noticed oil coming out of the bonnet from the outside of the car. When I opened up the engine I notice that the oil cap was never turned back onto my engine and the ENTIRE engine was full of oil. I checked how much oil was left in the engine, barely anything. I spoke to the manager at Shell on Monday 30 June 2025, he was so nice and reassuring that they would get a mechanic out to check for the damages and repair it becausethey have footage and saw the whole situation on there system. Yesterday, Wednesday 02 July 2025 when asking feedback, the manager said that he spoke to the owner Gheneez Munian and she does not want to help with anything right now not even taking ownership of the fault on Shells side, telling the manager to inform me that I must get my own mechanic and fix it myself then she will see if they are going to assist to fix the damages caused by Shell. THIS IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!!!! SHELL HEAD OFFICE IN BRYANSTON JOHANNESBURG PLEASE SORT THIS OUT OR LEGAL ACTION WILL BE TAKEN AGAINST YOU PERSONALLY AND THE OWNER OF THAT BRANCH . It is now week 4 going to week 5 and my car still is not fixed and they aren't even paying my transport. I have added all email and whatsapp correspondence for you all to see how they treat their customers. The owner now refusing to take responsibility and now I am dealing with head office and they are taking an extra 2 weeks and expecting me to pay for everything myself out if pocket with no assistance from them. It took that mechanic 5 days to bring back a broken car, the top head was loose l, which would explain all the oil. 3. I cannot trust anything on this report, as stated there are loose wires and oil everywhere. Also I do not trust that mechanic because a full diagnostic and inspection should have been by the mechanic but as you stated, the mechanic stated that he did no work under the engine which means that a full diagnostic was not done. 4. I requested to be there once the vehicle is done so that I could inspect it myself, having Kelly there who is not as inclined as I on cars was taking advantage of this situation. 5. The fact that you made it sound like you did us a favour when speaking to Kelly is utter nonsense, that car was fully repaired in December 2024 and for 7 months not one issue came up not even over heating until this now. It has now been two weeks since this incident happened, I am expecting the car to be ready tomorrow and I should request I new engine with all of this that has happened, I mean how could they drive the car from sea point with a top head that was not put on properly, that alone could have caused so much more damage than it already has. You had sent Kelly R300 on Monday, R1500 tuesday and R240 today to cover cost to and from work, however she didn't let me know what the costs would be for 8 Ubers from table view , to town , to hout bay and back and finding out that roughly each trip cost R380+ per ride. This isn't about money it's the meer fact that the reliable transport was damaged by your employees(petrol attendant ,cashier , supervisor and manager) and as well as your mechanic that has just made it worse. Repeatly we have let you know when things have happened through this 3 weeks and in return received this type of handling not only from you but from your employees. This matter is not closed according to your documents. You as owner has breached that. This is excluding the fact that you have over charged everything on this invoice, not sure who you are trying to claim money from who this high bill but you could have put a new engine in with all this cost and you want to make like you are not liable for breaking and repairing this car while acting like you are doing us a favour for breaking the car. I will let your head office know about this behaviour and your refusal to properly fix my car through a accredited mechanic and not some back yard mechanic and now after they paid part of the claim for "repairs", car was still broken and i informed them that if this is going to cost more they will have to pay for it which they said on email that they would if needed, we just need to provide documentation which we also did. They did not even get us a hired car and expected us to pay for it, we had to travel for 8 weeks in the rain using public transport and ubers when there was none, costing more than R6000 which they said straight they are not paying "as they do not pay for that or the inconvenience". Their manager Peter Kruger, came into the picture today not even reading all previous correspondence but only the last few emails and being rude and not understanding at all. I have now emailed the full correspondence to the CEO Yolande Smit and waiting for an response. THIS IS NEXT LEVEL INSURANCE *****!!!!

He needs to find out why the water is mixed with the oil. He is not certain that the oil cap not on the vehicle could have caused this over heating. I have asked him to go ahead and diagnose and fix the vehicle which he will do from today. He said he should be finished on Wednesday. This is to get you mobile as soon as possible. I have started the claim process with my insurance but I am not certain that they will pay due to the fact that the car was driven long after the event. Let’s see what comes of the claim. It took that mechanic 5 days to bring back a broken car, the top head was loose l, which would explain all the oil. 3. I cannot trust anything on this report, as stated there are loose wires and oil everywhere. Also I do not trust that mechanic because a full diagnostic and inspection should have been by the mechanic but as you stated, the mechanic stated that he did no work under the engine which means that a full diagnostic was not done. 4. I requested to be there once the vehicle is done so that I could inspect it myself, having Kelly there who is not as inclined as I on cars was taking advantage of this situation. 5. The fact that you made it sound like you did us a favour when speaking to Kelly is utter nonsense, that car was fully repaired in December 2024 and for 7 months not one issue came up not even over heating until this now. It has now been two weeks since this incident happened, I am expecting the car to be ready tomorrow and I should request I new engine with all of this that has happened, I mean how could they drive the car from sea point with a top head that was not put on properly, that alone could have caused so much more damage than it already has. I will contact Toyota tomorrow to request a quote for a new engine. 6. You had sent Kelly R300 on Monday, R1500 tuesday and R240 today to cover cost to and from work, however she didn't let me know what the costs would be for 8 Ubers from table view , to town , to hout bay and back and finding out that roughly each trip cost R380+ per ride. As you know the prices differ on times and she waits an hour so that she doesn't take an extra to save money. This isn't about money it's the meer fact that the reliable transport was damaged by your employees(petrol attendant ,cashier , supervisor and manager) and as well as your mechanic that has just made it worse. We had taken down the post out of courtesy even though, you waited until the car was complete *dead* to action anything. This has costed us so much money in the end. It's disrupted both of our work, I've missed work for this and also Ive had to leave early today to come and inspect the car. But you had to be gone by the time I would've gotten there Everything up until this point has not been positive. According to your documents that's was signed by both Kelly and I said that legally we have 14 day to let you know what has happened abd if there are any issues to the work done. Repeatly we have let you know when things have happened through this 3 weeks and in return received this type of handling not only from you but from your employees. This matter is not closed according to your documents. You as owner has breached that. This is excluding the fact that you have over charged everything on this invoice, not sure who you are trying to claim money from who this high bill but you could have put a new engine in with all this cost and you want to make like you are not liable for breaking and repairing this car while acting like you are doing us a favour for breaking the car. I will let your head office know about this behaviour and your refusal to properly fix my car through a accredited mechanic and not some back yard mechanic and now after they paid part of the claim for "repairs", car was still broken and i informed them that if this is going to cost more they will have to pay for it which they said on email that they would if needed, we just need to provide documentation which we also did. They did not even get us a hired car and expected us to pay for it, we had to travel for 8 weeks in the rain using public transport and ubers when there was none, costing more than R6000 which they said straight they are not paying "as they do not pay for that or the inconvenience". Their manager Peter Kruger, came into the picture today not even reading all previous correspondence but only the last few emails and being rude and not understanding at all. I have now emailed the full correspondence to the CEO Yolande Smit and waiting for an response. THIS IS NEXT LEVEL INSURANCE *****!!!!
