Horrible service from the lady that was there on Friday 24/10/2025 afternoon, very rude and disrespectful. She behaves as if they don't need customers, we are to irritate them. I ended leaving Talisman willow street to Builders Warehouse. I am not sure if I will recommend them even to my enemy..

We always ahd good service from Talisman Woodstock, where we hold an account. However today we had a very bad experience at Talisman city inside builders. The talisman representative Caleb was unable and maybe unwilling to conclude a simple rental agreement for a circular handheld saw. Caleb was unable to distinguish corporate customers from private customers, and is generally totally unsuitable to deal with the public. We lost a days of work through him, ad he lost a sale. The franchise would benefit greatly from having him replaced.

Caleb was unable to distinguish corporate customers from private customers, and is generally totally unsuitable to deal with the public. We lost a days of work through him, ad he lost a sale. The franchise would benefit greatly from having him replaced.

I hired a petrol high pressure cleaner on Saturday 18 January 2025 at about 10am for return Monday Morning 8am. While using the machine Sunday afternoon, the starting cord snapped at the handle, which I fixed by tying a new knot. The starting cord then snapped a second time at the point where it was attached inside the machine. I opted to stop using the machine and take up the issue with Talisman for an additional 4 hours use to make up for the usage time I lost. I returned the machine Monday morning to Talisman, the mechanic agreed the starting cord was badly frayed and replaced it. I took up the issue with the sales clerk, who said the issue would have to be taken up with the franchise owner, who would only be available the following day, Tuesday. He asked me why I didn`t contact the cell number on Sunday, when I had the problem. I responded that I didn`t know the cell number was a standby number in case of problems. The cell number was apparently the franchise owners contact number. The invoice did not state the cell number as being an after hours contact number, there was no sign up at Talisman that I saw to indicate clearly an after hours cell number in case of problems, the many times I have hired from Talisman it has never been explained that there is an after hours contact number. I phoned the franchise owner on 21 January 2025 Tuesday morning, his position was that I had been charged for one day`s use on Saturday, therefore I had no recourse for the machine not being usable on Sunday. I then informed him that that being the case, I would no longer hire from Talisman, would take it up with Talisman head office, and ended the call.

Creating an account was difficult - I created one online but then apparently had to create it again when wanting a quote from a consultant. Then they were late in delivering the item and also late collecting it. Also tried to complain via their website but that went unanswered. Business must be good if this is how they treat customers.

Very bad. Hired a vacuum machine. And it was not doing its job. The machine was leaking, had no brush, they don’t get back to clients had to be the one to chase after I left my number and being promised for a call back. Horrible service. The staff members didn’t even know how to use the machine themselves. Please do not waste your time here.
