This company has impressed me since I started using its products about 18 years ago. Every aspect is handled professionally and with perfection, from the person who comes to measure up and make suggestions to the admin and the teams who fit my shutters. Terence Davids gave me great advice and Byron and Nathaniel fitted the shutters with great precision and care. What a great team. Everyone was helpful, knowledgeable and skilled in their field. The fitting was done methodically and cleanly and I couldn't have asked for anything better. A great product and a super team.

Initially, when we installed the white shutters, they sent the wrong product, wrong size, and didn't hook them so they rattled, and we had to call them back. This was 2015. Fast forward to a year or 2 ago, the louvres start peeling. Ugly peeling patches everywhere. Their response? They'll hap[ily replace those, for over R15000....!

I previously struggled with this company, but they committed to rectifying the situation. However, my first installation is still not done (almost two months later). I was foolish enough to place another order with them and today (again a month later) received the following message: Dear Mr Kotze, RE: Taylor Shutters (Shutter Guard & blind factory) Please note that the factory has been in a bit of an upheaval for a couple of weeks and our orders were not forth coming. We have since established that there is currently a strike action taking place at the factory. We have been in contact with the CEO and managers and have had their assurance that the staff currently at the factory can and will be able to see to all our orders. As soon as I have confirmed arrival dates for the various shutter orders placed I will be contacting you for an installation date. We do apologise for any inconvenience this has caused and we promise that we are doing all we can to expedite all our orders from Taylor Should you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me. Clearly, this company is not in control of its production, I would strongly recommend that you rather use another supplier if you are in the market for blinds or shutters.

I'm writing to you with regards to the disappointing aftersales service I received recently after installing shutters throughout my house. I've always been a fan of your products because of the quality and workmanship , but after my recent experience your organisation will be a hard sell for me when recommending it to family and friends. After looking at various options of shutter suppliers I decided to go with Taylor Blinds and started the project in 2019 by installing the shutterguard doors in front of my sliding door and I was assisted by a very friendly sales representative. Early 2020 saw the unfortunate arrival of the pandemic and the subsequent devastating effect this had on the hospitality industry in which I'm employed. Even amidst trying financial challenges throughout the pandemic I remained disciplined to save toward the installation of shutters throughout my entire house. This finally arrived at the beginning of year this when I was able to finance the completion of this project. I dealt with the same sales representative again but this time round his service was lacking to say the very least as we traversed back and forth between inaccurate quotations that differed from what we discussed. I made full payment on both occasions and provided proof immediately, only to be hassled to make payment for an item I did not order?? The rep somehow blamed the duplication on the system they used? I had two installation dates and the teams were amazing. The guys were courteous and on time. The second installation involved installing a shutter in the bathroom above my bath. All seemed fine at first and I was so impressed by the product yet again and it felt good that I invested in the shutter project even if it took me almost two years to save up for it throughout the pandemic. A few days later I wanted to run a bath and as soon as I opened the mixer the water came shooting out of the hole that was drilled for the locking pen of the shutter. I then realised the installation team drilled into a waterpipe. No water pipe detector equipment was used by the installation team when drilling in the bathroom or kitchen even though these meters are pretty affordable to buy from any hardware store? I contacted the sales representative to inform him of the unfortunate event and but only received a badly worded email that was riddled with spelling mistakes telling me they don't accept responsibility and I should settle it through an insurance claim!!!! I have just spent thousands and thousands of rands with your company and this is the best answer you can supply? Shame on you team Team Taylor Blinds, Jimmy Taylor would be ashamed of how you treat your customers today. My building insurance covers burst pipes only and I'm now left liable for the repairs! After spending a tens of thousands of rands with your company, I'm left liable for the repairs to my waterpipe that was perfectly fine before your installation team damaged it......shame on you. I will not recommend your poor service to anyone....stay away from this company!!!

I placed a large order of Taylor Blinds and Shutters via Windor in Herm****. Paid the deposit before the end of January 2022 (to avoid the price increase - old story). It is now the 8th of March and still no delivery. In fact, after following up I was told that the aluminium material is still on a ship on its way to SA (Durban). This is pathetic, a company without stock to fulfil a sales order - these guys should not be in business! The wooden-based products were supposed to be delivered before around the end of February 2022, but yet again no delivery and not even a single reason why - shocking customer service. Stay away from this company!

The staff at Taylor Blinds in Montague Gardens gets a Five Star rating - they are not the issue. The problem is admin and the product. Look closely at the invoice - they slip in a "Freight Charge" - this is a cheap shot. Why not add "Designer Fee" for the person who designed the product. This really upset me. Then, I purchased two roll-up blinds. I went back and told them that the Instruction Manual was missing - to be informed there WAS NO INSTRUCTIONS. Had I noticed this at time of purchase, I would have asked the staff to run me through - a complete waste of their time. In an era that even toilet paper comes with instructions, this, for what Taylor Blinds puts themselves out to be, is an inconvenience. This aspect gets a ZERO rating. As long as the admin is padding the invoices with all of these add-ons, what about something a little more creative like"oxygen use while in showroom". Why not just increase the price (which happened on the first of February) rather than these creative add-ons which insults the intelligence of the educated consumer. Things are tough all over, not just at Taylor's. What would admin do if Pick and Pay added a freight charge to all their products? What's good for the goose is good for the gander.
