When teamviewer was on version 10 I paid almost R5000 or something there about, but before i paid for the license i read through their TOS and it gave me "lifetime license" and included any updates and new versions. When they released version 14 they decided to do away with lifetime licenses and make everyone go on subscription. If it was R200 to R250 a month and i was able to pay it monthly i might havestayed on. But they refused to let mme keep my lifetime license. I faught them and was given access till the end of 2025 for using my "lifetime" license. Not only do i feel like i have been s.c a ham med.. i asked them multiple times to allow for monthly subs instead of an annual payment and it refused multiple times. I am a one man business doing IT support to my customers from home. Guys (to the public not teamviewer) if you plan on using remote software even for business use rustdesk it is FREE andyou can do the same stuff you do on tyeamviewer and you can set up favourites so you can easily connect. Teamviewer you guys should have kept your word and left small 1 man users like myself with a 1 license lifteime license as per your word in your TOS that i agreed to years ago and put anyone after that change onto a subscription based service. Not only are you guys over priced but your business ethics poor in this regard of as to what you did to me and my license. I live in south africa ffs i dontmake a ton of money.. i am running a small business trying tostay alive with the few customers i have .. its easy for you guys to say the same but i highly doubt any of you at teamviewer are in the same boat as myself so you i can also say you have f all compassion or empathy so even if you said i can keep using my license i will refuse .. I am using the free stuff now and i hope a bunch of other follow me and stop paying for teamviewer because without customers you guys are nothing and earn nothing and the way you treat your customers ... even if you went free i wouldnt use teamviewer anymore.

One doesn't know where one stands with this company Teamviewer. First they have ********* business practises by selling a lifetime license to their clients, then changing their business model, then forcing the lifetime license clients to start paying a monthly fee otherwise they will terminate the remote service. Stay away from Teamviewer, any person looking for remote assistance software, use Anydesk!

The 28 day termination notice period is ******** in South Africa. You can not force someone to buy something they do not want. No company that I know of required a notice period for a sub unless the deliver in advance. I certainly do not recommend anyone to use Teamviewer subscription, it is ********.

I have used Teamviewer successfully until I received my invoice to renew in June this year. The price was very expensive and I was not able to afford or justify the amount. There was no instructions on cancelling. I thought if I didn't pay, my subscription would not be renewed. They tried to run my credit card which was declined. I then tried sending them a message to cancel via a " create a ticket " function on their website. They do not respond to those " tickets" and there is no other way to contact them. The Teamviewer support is now continually mailing me to pay. I have found an alternate method of remote access for 1/5th of the price. The entire Teamviewer experience is extremely user unfriendly

This company's billing and contract cancellation policy is in breach of the South African Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008. If you dont cancel 28 days or more before your annual license payment is due, you are liable to pay for the year in advance even when you dont use the software. On top of this it took a Google search to figure out how to cancel. Signing up couldn't be easier and cancelling very confusing. I wish I had checked Teamviewer reviews on Hellopeter before I registered with them. R5800 thrown away! Avoid at all costs, Anydesk.com is a much better solution.

I recently found out that Teamviewer automatically renewed my annual user licence agreement without my knowledge. I think this is a very underhanded way of going business and I won't be using this software again

I use teamviewer frequently and pay for it, and I use it across multiple devices. I have a habit of signing certain devices on and off so as not to run out of available spaces on my license, but the people who run teamviewer think that I should pay more since I have so many different devices to use for some reason. I cost them NO extra money, yet they call my parents (I do not know how they got their number -- I am 39) to tell them what...? That they need to pay up if we are going to have so many devices on throughout the year? F*ck that and f*ck them.

Even though I share a lot of thoughts with the people here with one star ratings, when I used the law and my countries customer rights code, they "refunded"(didn't put that much money into my account) my payment and I was allowed to cancel the service without penalties. So all I walked away with was A few rejected international payments that cost me some bank fees and and a dent in my credit score. Know your rights and you should always win cases like these.
