It is a bot there is no way in life that real people reply in that manner to mesages and there is the constant naging of the server for you to change your picture every 2days even if it is a perfectly normal picture

My business is called Macmoo's BULtong and I am about to finalise a fairly comprehensive deal for biltong export -but, I am still a very small fish compared to corporates.

I have move onto buying at Abbatoirs as it is now viable -I no longer buy at Makro or Spar. So, someone gave me the name of Texland Meats in Clayville...bear in mind I am a novice as to how abbatoirs work. I must mention that i amon pension but I am academically qualified as an Organisational Wellness Consutant on Dr Kobus Neethlings' auspice. So, I guess I no something.

Keeping in mind how unsure I feel about how to buy at an abbatoir I made a phone call to Paulo (a shareholder) and arrange to come in and be shown around -I told him my main reason is that I will be needing about 160 kg of biltong meat every month. When I arrived i discovered to my dismay that there was no welcome and no welcome space -I waited for acknowledgment in the entrance hallway which has two delapited chairs in a spce of 2 meters by one meter. Behind me was a paypoint window and in front of me a reception window -very small and impractical. So, I stood and finally was attended to by Paulo whilst he was on and of the phone and i wasstanding all the time in an officefull of workerson the phone...i was feeling odd...finally after much"begging" someone showed me through and gave me tasters etc...this was day 1

Day 2: The next day I bought 30 kg of meat and when i had to pay they would only take cash! I had to go into the skirts of thembisa to draw the R2000 -before I paid they called me in(in fron of everybody) to inspect my parcel and to see if I was happy)...to be honest I felt intimidated.off I went then.

Day 3 I phone yesterday to ask for two sample pieces of RUMP and Silverside to use as tastermeat for my biltongsamples that have to be sent in two weeks to Hong Kong..all this in preparation for a monthly sale of 150 kg -in their eyes nithing, but still...so, they knew why I was there. I asked them beforehand to give me as close as possible to 6 kg and also what the price would be -all this, to arrive with almost the correct amount. They said they could provide me with the fuller rump+fat. I mean, afterall this is it for Hong Kong (and I thought maybe for them too in business terms)

First of all paulo was to busy to help but finally they found some meat for 2,9 kg and very little fat -remeber I phone in the early morning to arrange what I wanted and they agreed to it. I the ask the lady helping me to give me more meat but not more than 6 kilos as i have only drawn enough cash as arranged and foreseen. Then she came with much more and i could not pay and they would not take a card. I the asked her to please see if they can perhaps get as close as possible to 6kg...suddenly I a gent in the office snarled at me and said that I am confusing them...this happened in fron of everybody!!! I gently asked him why he said so and explained that I thought I had made proper arrangments (indeed I phoned in again to check that it was all fine) i then ask the gent to please talk alone to him outside, but he refused and was very rude making me feel so belittled as I am a difficult customer. A kind gentleman came to my rescue and assited me out nudging me not to worry about the incident...great guy he was!!

So, I left with 2.9 kg of rump (having travelled from Midrand) and felt like a twit!! Humiliated and like a fool.

Needless to say, they have lost me! Today I bought wonderful meat at a wonderful abbatoir.

HERE IS THE POINT:

IF THEY TREAT A CUSTOMER LIKE THIS, I WONDER HOW THE OPERATION IS MANAGED...if the customer is not important, why would the workers be?...how careful are they in following all the rules...how much money do they loose just because of the litlle value people seem to have in their eyes?

THE REAL PRICE THEY ARE ALREADY PAYING WILL ULTIMATELY COST THEM DEARLY...I FEEL SO SORRY FOR THEM AND WILL NEVER EVER PUT MY FOOT THERE IF i CAN HELP IT!!
