It is very unfortunate that I need to do this. This is literally the best that the South of Johannesburg has to offer, and yet they have the worst customer care ever! I made a group booking at the Kraal and was asked to settle a deposit, which wasn’t deducted from the total bill which we paid! That was a good couple of thousands which they have owed me for weeks, and for which I constantly need to follow up on. I keep getting told I’ll receive a call back, which I never do. The number of times I have had to call them to chase them on this matter is ridiculous!!! To top it off, everyone I speak to either has no idea what they’re doing or has a completely different story with regards to what’s going on with this matter. I am at my wits end with this establishment. It has been a complete nightmare to deal with!

I am highly disappointent on the service that i got in this place, i recomended it to my husband fo birthday lunch, as we got in it was like no one is giving us attention up untile a guy came and said you can have a sit but he didn't point at which table and we had to find a table for ouselves then we seat there for 20min, no one attended us everyone acted busy but we were the only clients in there. I have never been dissappointed in my life worse on my birthday, com3 to think of the distance that we drove only to have lunch there and you get no one to attend you. We ended up leaving without being attended.

There’s not enough STARS on google to give the rating this lovely place deserves. This is definitely worth 10/10 . We were blessed to enjoy our Honeymoon/Staycation at this venue and from the moment you walk in to the moment you walk up you feel that you in a special place. All we engaged made us feel like King & Queen and the level of service here is honestly absolutely incredible. A big congratulations to all who made our stay so memorable but mostly want to mention a few names who made us feel at home. Thank you to Simphiwe , Percy , Zee (Ebar) , Sphe - The Kraal Restaurant , Sakhile , Jose ,Thaine & Ross. It’s not just the venue that creates memories but the people who are part of it . I would definitely recommend this amazing GEM to visit , stay , to eat , to play , to celebrate and just make wonderful memories. Thank you once again for exceeding all our expectations!!h!! We look forward to come back again in the near future.P.S. The food here is absolutely delicious

To say I am upset is really an understatement! I'm really disappointed with the level of professionalism this place offers! I made a reservation with their E-Bar exactly a week ago and this morning I woke up to an extremely rude email informing me that my reservation was cancelled! I was not notified beforehand of this cancellation or just simply warned and to top it off, not even a lame reason was provided as to why my reservation was cancelled!

I booked and reserved the accommodation via EFT on the 8th of Nov 2023 as per their emails, on the 12th of November day of the check in , we got to the hotel only for them to tell us that the payment was not reflecting and required me to send the POP, which i did. Then the reception lady said that the payment was not reflecting in their account therefore they can’t check us in, mind you there’s a POP with all their banking details and had checked on my banking app if the payment has gone through. During the heated argument the lady said that we have to pay a pre-auth for them to check us in , meaning that we have to swipe the exact amount we paid, we disagreed with that she then said the manager says we have to at least pay half if we can’t pay the same amount, at this point we asked to see their bank statements as well to see if the money is indeed not reflecting, they quickly said that we can proceed to go to the room. We checked out the next day on the 13th of Nov, only for them to just apologise and say that the money is now reflecting. That time we missed our spa appointment trying to sort out their financial issues we also paid for a game drive which we did not attend as the “funds were not reflecting”

On the 26th June my husband and I went for Dinner at the Kraal Restaurant where we received absolutely bad service from the waitress to the food.Initial waited at their entrance to be seated for 6min ordered a spicy chai latte which came with an offish colour and horrible taste which we tolerated but then when our main dish arrived just by looking at both the meals you could tell there is something not right ,i had the chicken pasta which was too oily and didn’t have a good taste at all couldn’t even finish the dish same as my husband who had the beef burger and lastly had a complementary red velvet cake which tasted just ok. We both couldn’t sleep with stomach cramps which led to me vomiting not sure if the cause was the food or what as we didn’t have anything after dinner .Highly disappointed with everything

Unfortunate that The Kraal restaurant ruins the little reputation that is left. I overpaid the restaurant with just over 1k over 2 weeks ago. It’s been a back and forth of lies on when the money will be refunded. Tiza confirms every morning for the past week that accounts has paid and it should reflect by COB however this is untrue. It’s such a frustration dealing with this situation because you are met with the same nonsensical response! Pathetic!

Unfortunate that The Kraal restaurant ruins the little reputation that is left. I overpaid the restaurant with just over 1k over 2 weeks ago. It’s been a back and forth of lies on when the money will be refunded. Tiza confirms every morning for the past week that accounts has paid and it should reflect by COB however this is untrue. It’s such a frustration dealing with this situation because you are met with the same nonsensical response! Pathetic!
