I am very disappointed with my experience at this vet. I adore my dog with all my heart, but she was very sick and couldn't walk or jump. I knew something was wrong because she is usually an active dog that loves to play. When I took her to the vet, a male veterinarian diagnosed her with a slipped disc. He didn't even offer to do an x-ray to see how severe the condition was. His only recommendations were to spend 40000 on surgery or to put her down. I have since booked an appointment with another vet, who was surprised that the first vet never performed x-rays. My dog means everything to me, and I believe that a veterinarian should genuinely care for animals, rather than just being focused on making money from the suffering of pet owners.

Took my car on Sunday as an emergency. I was there at 9am. At 10am they were too busy to look at my cat. They didn't even bother to hear me out. They didn't look at the cat. They told me to take she to another vet but by this time all the other vets were closed. I took her home hoping for Monday. 1pm on Sunday (same day 3 hours later) my cat had died. By cat I mean small kitten. What shocks me is that I sat in the vet for 1 and a half hours and no one checked or looked at my kitten. Don't use this vet if you are expecting life saving results.

I adopted a rescued stray, and when he was brought to me his entire ear was mangled terribly and his leg injured as well. I did not expect the injury as the rescuers did not disclose that he was injured before they brought him to me. A friend recommended the Avenues Veterinary Clinic in Edenvale as she had only the best support there, so I drove through to take this pup there. The staff helped me carry the pup, they were friendly and helpful despite the obvious pressure, and did their level best to support in every way that they could. All the staff are kind, and helpful and they truly have the animals best interests at heart. They took him in the same day, followed up the next day too and have ensured I have all the paperwork in order for the procedure that took place. Definitely would recommend The Avenues Vet, and I would most certainly say that those willing to donate to a cause would do well with their gift to this Vet for the team and the work they do. You can find them at No. 24 7th Avenue, Edenvale. And you can contact them at 011 022 0636

My Labrador puppy went into the vet as she ran under the car and suffered a broken leg and pelvis. She was only supposed to be there a few days to keep still. She ended up being there for weeks as she contracted a severe infection inside their hospital. They charged me a huge bill of almost 7000 for caring for the infection she got in their hospital.
