I was so disappointed with this hotel, firstly I travelled all the way from Cape Town at night arriving in the hotel around 23:00 when I got there, I was checked in and shown my room only to find out that the room is not the one I booked. I booked a suite and I was given a room with two double beds. I insisted that I want the room that I booked and I was later moved to the room. I was booked for two nights but only slept one night as I could'nt go back the following day and asked my colleague to bring my luggage. I then called to request for a copy of the invoice, I was asked to send an email which I did. Again in the afternoon I called to remind them about the invoice, I was told that they are going to attend to my email. Again the following day I called to make a follow up and I was requested to resend the email. I asked when can I get the copy of the invoice, I was told that it will be attended to and I will get it during the course of the day. I am not confident that I will get it. I will never go back to this hotel nor recommend anyone to stay there.

ood morning Trust this will bring light and urge maintenance to do a proper job Me being a member of the group rewards I visited the Caledon hotels pools as a day visitor yesterday 23 December 23 I remember pools being cleant over Mondays I cannot even believe that those algae, dirt and filth was cleant last Monday I was utterly disgusted We arrived at about 9 Am we left at 11:45 Bathrooms were wet and and not maintained The paving was so disgusting- but most of all the pools filled with algae most of my 9 family members bathing costumes were damaged with green due to the overall cleanliness of those pools - it’s such a hazard you can’t stand to walk out properly as you will easily slip - inside the pool before getting out You have all these signs slippery when wet But you do not address the slipping in the pools that’s disgusting We have been going there for years and I must say that we are actually happy that we went there for a day instead of a weekend . The money effort and resources were wasted

During Heritage Weekend 2023, I visited the Caledon Spa as a day visitor. As I had never been there before, I had no preconceived notions about what the place should be or should have been like. Swimming in the pools is a lot of fun for both kids and adults. The building maintenance appears to be lacking, which is bitterly disappointing. There are broken doors, certain windows need replacing, woodwork that can be done with painting and replacing with new pieces, paint that needs to be done, and overall cleanliness is lacking. Using a high-pressure hose can improve dirty paving and many lightbulbs need replacing. With a hospitality background, I might view this more critically, but the palace certainly looks rundown. I hope you will not let routine maintenance get you under Caledon Hotel and Spa and result in a substandard product.

So myself and my wife just booked into the Hotel for a nice relaxing weekend away to catch up on series and relax in our hotel room. Firstly the wifi is pathetic i called to reception and they blamed it on loadshedding and that it will be sorted once the power comes back on.. after the power came back on still exactly the same cannot even open youtube or netflix or anything else i did a quik speed test and it shows 0.05mb/s i have pictures to prove this i went to reception and the guy at reception went to speak to his "manager" which was hidden in a room watching some movie that she briefly paused to speak to him and then he returned to say they are going to see what they can do and she resumed her movie as we could hear. Nothing is Halaal and we were sent to the garage for pies as they do not cater Halaal. The hotel room needs a update way outdated definitely my first and last time coming here and i wont advise any of my family and friends to visit as well.

On our visit today we were made aware of the R200 special including the meal voucher. Paid at the Hotel reception, went up to the baths, in the rain. Was told we did not receive all the vouchers, walked back down to reception, collected and returned. After swimming went to the restaurant where a unfriendly waiter assited us. From the start we enquired regarding the packages, which was acknowledged by the unfriendly waiter. Upon paying she didn't want to accept the meal voucher as it had become slightly wet, as it rained a bit. Unprofessional and very poor service.

Caledon is great, the pools are amazing and it's not far from cape town so it's a great getaway. My family and I have been going there for the better part of my life, I would say about 20 years now. Sadly for the last 2 or 3 years the customer service has been terrible. I paid via eft the day before checking and sent proof of payment directly from the bank for a few rooms as I was arriving late. The guests who arrived earlier were not allowed to check in till I got there hours later and had to pay again and then wait for them to refund me when both monies were in their account. This is an acceptable way to treat guests of your hotel? This is according to their policy appearantly. The worst part is they (staff and manager Veronica) made my family and I feel as if we were trying to cheat them out of one night stays money and I didn't feel like a guest there at all. Will think 5 times before going back. They offered us things to compensate for how they treated us but nothing can be done about your holiday being spoiled before you even get there. Paid for a relaxing time but got the opposite.

DEFINITELY NOT A 4 STAR. SERVICE OVER THE YEARS DROPPED. UNCAPPED WIFI SLOW. DA VINCE RESTAURANT OFFERS THE WORST FOOD AND OPERATES AT A SNAIL PACE. THE BUFFET BREAKFAST PATHETIC. A 10TH OF WHAT THEY PREVIOUSLY OFFERED AND NOW INCLUDES BACON. CLUB MYKONOS A MILLION TIMES BETTER ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN. A REAL FAMILY RESORT. ENTERTAINMENT FOR CHILDREN, TEENS AND ADULTS.
