I took my 2008 BMW 320D for a service on the 14-12-2023 to The Herman Workshop Edenvale, they did a major service and test drove the car. After that they drove it too the wash bay to be washed, after doing this my car would not start due to now a corroded DDE ( computer box). I was told to claim from my insurance because it was water damage from the heavy rain we had. This could only be done in the new year (2023) because that is when they open. They send the insurance a quote for a new DDE at an extreme price. (Between R30k-R40k) It was rejected and I now had to make a plan. They gave me a quote between R15k-R20k for a second hand one with no warranty. I tried having it fix but did not have any luck. Will all of this I hade no assistance from them, I had to arrange my own rollback and I took my car to BMSports in Benoni which helped me at an affordable price between R7k R12k. The German Workshop will never see me or any one I know again. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM AT ALL!! Regards

I bought an old car to help a guy. I got scammed. As luck would have it the car was towed to this place. Took a plane to CPT by the time I landed I felt scammed again. Before I could drive again I would pay two times the actual cost of this car again. I was told this needed to be done and this needed to be done. All the time I just paid and paid. Got my car and it was left in almost the same condition except that it could switch on and drive. No one there cared about the fact that I was now severely out of pocket. I joined a club of Merc drivers to learn more about who could fix these cars and how I could get into another one without ever having to face an issue like this. Ladies and gentlemen please learn from my mistake. To make matters worse they still whatsapp to ask when I am bringing my car in again. They have never once tried to resolve the issue.

My car has always been serviced with Audi but because of escalating prices I decided to get the major service cambelt/ water pump replacement done at The German Workshop Terrace Road Edenvale.I could not be more happy with the work that was done and the service I received.I took my car in on the Thursday and it was delivered to me on Friday lunch time.It had also was very well cleaned. The cost was well below the quoted Audi estimate of R18000 for the work.Well done to all the friendly and efficient staff there !

I took my car in on the 21st of January because of a faulty alternator on my BMW 120i. I was giving the option between a new alternator or a overhauled alternator.
Two Days later I went to work. That evening when I wanted to go home my gearbox light was on as well as my engine light. My car refused to go into gear and as it is an automatic. The car went into \ limp mode "and refused to gear up higher than 3rd gear. I had to drive like this all the way from Fourways to Kempton Park.
The next morning my car didn't want to start as the battery was drained. I took my car back to them on Wednesday the 28th.. I was send an email saying all the issues are related to the alternator and that's why they don't like doing recons. I finally got my car back a week later on the 3rd of Feb. That afternoon when I went to work the engine light came on again. When I took it in the said that the VVT (variable valve timing) was out.
I took my car in for an alternator issue and got my car back with"
