Do not trust the good reviews. They are paid actors This company is leaching on hardworking individuals out of pocket. They go on Facebook as HB-Projects now , When cornered, he tucks his tail and runs away like the ***** he is. Cash for **** His family is covering up for his ******** services.

Builder who does what he says he will do !
When I reached out to chris I noticed these reviews. When I approached him. He explained and I felt could trust him. He Built a whole new guest toilet, laundry room , cleaned and re touched the outside facade. His team were super professional , on time and stayed within agreed budget. In this case don't judge a book by its cover of other reviews. My experience with Chris and Team is 98.9% great... 4 stars as there is always room for improvement on perfection . Thanks HB

Builder who does what he says he will do !
When I reached out to chris I noticed these reviews. When I approached him. He explained and I felt could trust him. He Built a whole new guest toilet, laundry room , cleaned and re touched the outside facade. His team were super professional , on time and stayed within agreed budget. Use Handy Boys for painting
Dennis from this company painted the inside of a room for me. He responded quickly, gave a very reasonable quote and completed the work on time. I am very happy with the outcome. Would highly recommend

Stay Far Away From Chris and Handy Boys
I am summarising this story because I don't want to write an essay here. We got Chris and the Handy boys to redo our kitchen. We paid a 70% deposit upfront. The delays and excuses started from day 1. At first, we thought nothing of it, but it then got worse and worse. When they were actually here doing the work, they seemed professional but then after removing our entire kitchen and redoing the floor, they just never came back. Chris just gave us excuse after excuse and never came back to do the work. He lead us on for a long time. I still have all the messages, emails, voice notes, proof of payments, signed invoices and pictures from Chris and the Handy Boys work over this period. We eventually lived without a kitchen for almost 3 months. Chris removed our kitchen on the 19th of Aug and eventually, after contracting another company to complete the job at a huge loss, our kitchen was finally installed on the 8th November Almost 3 months without a kitchen! All I can say after reading other comments from other people is, that Chris and the Handy Boys will not finish a job. They will take a large deposit, do about 15% of the work and then just simply make excuses until they never return. People always ask why I don't take them to small claims court, but it's not that easy. Its time, it's money and even if I get a ruling, that doesn't mean that I will get any money back. It's not worth it, unfortunately. So all I can do is share my store with this community and try and help other people from making the same mistake I made.

Refusal To Pay Back Deposito
During March 2021, I contacted Chris from The Handy Boys (Maintenanc) in Cape Town, for a quotation for bathroom renovations at my place. The arrangement between us was that I will pay a deposito upfront and then I will accept and sign his quote and forward it to him. Then he will start working at my place. I did pay the deposito, but then I read through his online reviews and they were very bad. I realised that I cannot risk making use of his services. I therefore did not accept or sign his quotation and I notified him within 3 business days, that I will not use his services and the reason why and that he must please pay back my deposito. However he refused to pay back my deposito, which means that I had lost that money and he has never started working by me.
