this company does not care about theirs customer, i bought a set of couches for R27000.00 now the couches the legs are rusting in just 3 months of using them , have called them sms them spoke to the sales ladies in store in the Ormonde brunch. till today no 1 has bothered to came back to me ,on Instagram i have spoken to someone incharge of the page and she keeps on making empty promises. maybe if it was a deferent, race i would have gotten help BUT IM JUST A BLACK GIRL WHO DOES NOT deserve to br treated especial. yet i PAID SO MUCH MONEY .THEY DONT GIVE A DAM they have make a profit and so what

On face value, The Living Room Interiors instagram page, website and showroom pics look top notch. Classy. I was further delighted to find a headboard for a great price on a Black Friday special. However, after I placed my order online, all I got was a notification that the payment went off. Nothing else. Not an invoice or an email to say that my order was received or what I ordered or what the status of my order was. The next day I started calling/whatsapp'ing and with each attempt I was referred by the one person to the next or was told that they will call me back. I really thought that I was scammed! Just yesterday I called again because it has been 3 and a half weeks since ordering and I still wasn't sure what was happening. I got another promise of a call back later the day with an update but no call was received. Then this morning, the headboard was delivered! With no warning, or advice of a tracking number. No paperwork. Nothing. Firstly, I am glad that I was not scammed. But secondly, this experience could've saved me a whole lot of worry, phone calls, messaging and grief if I was just kept informed along the way. That's not a lot to ask when it comes to an online order, especially as their website states that, "We're dedicated to giving you the very best of interior designing, with a focus on best service delivery, customer service and uniqueness.". It's not that I wouldn't recommend this business but I would recommend the business to live true to the expectations that they sell themselves on. There is definitely room for improvement on this.

On the 17 March 2021 I bought a dining room suit with a server cash at The Living Room Interior Design Cape Town branch. After 2 days they delivered and assembled the table, the server was defective. This resulted in this defective server being returned to the shop by the persons who delivered it. The sales lady from the Living Room Interiror Design Cape Town branch promised me that a new server will be ordered from Johannesburg and delivered to me within a week. After a week I had not received any feedback from the Cape Town branch of the said interior design establishment. I then contacted their customer service on the 25 March 2021 and I spoke to Zizipho. She promised to send the server the following day. On 31 March 2021 I called and I spoke to Zizipho again, she apologized and told me that she spoke to her manager and promised that the server will be delivered to me soonest. She even gave me her cell phone number. On the 07 April 2021 I sent a whatsapp message to Zizipho. In response she said that the truck left with my server from Johannesburg to Cape Town. She then indicated that I should wait for a call from the courier. I followed up weekly with Zizipho on whatsapp to trace the server, however I was repeatedly told the server will be delivered. It is now a month later and I still do not have the server. I am struggling to get the server I paid for. As a result of being moved from pillar to post, I told Zizipho that I am tired of their unfulfilled promises and their mediocre service. I then asked for the full refund of the Dining room suite and the undelivered server. With my refunded money I intend purchasing a dining room suite and server at another furniture shop in Cape Town. I proceeded to ask Zizipho for the email address and the name of the owner because I wanted my money refunded. She said employees are not allowed to give out the name of their boss. I have now reached a dead end with the Living Room Interior Design. It is on this basis that I appeal for your intervention. I therefore lodge a complaint against this establishment. I need assistance to recover my money or get my server delivered.

If you have a appetite for a business who does not believe in good customer service and keep the client in the loop and understanding that a client wants to buy from Small businesses but it is people like them with poor customer service that makes it bad .Guys dont buy until they improved how they manage orders!

Paid for my items on 11 December 2020 was told delivery will be in 2 days. Over 8 days later I haven't received my goods. Everyday they say tomorrow. They tell me how they loaded the items on the truck but it never gets to my destination. They always want to shift blame to delivery. They encourage you to make payment at time of sale and when they must deliver its story after another. The entire shop & owners are LIERS!. They sell items they dont have. I struggled with my refund after they said stock will arrive in the next week which never did. My biggest mistake was giving them a second chance at a sale and guess what they again disappointed. At the shop they convince you about being legit little did I know I'm dealing with fraudsters.

On the 31st of August, I ordered two couches from this company. I was then told that I must pay 60% of the quote for the work to start. I made payment on the 4th of September. Rominique Peterson then acknowledged the payment. 6 weeks later, my couches were still not delivered and when I enquired, I was told that my order will be ready the following week, and I must just pay the outstanding amount. Which I made on the 29th of October. The couches were never delivered. On the 3rd of November, I was requested for my location since they couldn’t pick up my location! I sent it, they promised to deliver that Saturday,which never happened. On the 6th another consultant responded to my query and told me that the money I had paid was short, since they didn’t charge me the right amount for the delivery, which I refused and told her as such, it was their mistake and they should incur the cost for their error. After the back and forth regarding them refunding me, they promised to refund me on the 12th of October. Seven days later, the refund was still not reflecting. I enquired again and was told that they had decided to deliver the couches, which was promised last week Wednesday. I enquired again and the lady had since said that she will forward me the tracking number. This people came across as legit, and were very professional at the beginning. I am floored by the treatment I have since received from them!

I purchased a bedset from them on 2nd of October, they advised me that it would be available on the '9th November' when I contacted them on the 9th October they told me they needed another 3 days, again I had to contact them on the 11th November to ask when the head board and base would arrive and there manager advised they did not have material 'for a bed set that was paid for on the 2nd October' and it would be ready and delivered on the 14th. On the 16th I had to contact them again and was told it would arrive on the 18th because it was in joburg. On the 20th I had to contact them again to ask for a refund and no one is responding. This company is a scam I doubt I will ever get the bed set or refund back from them. Everyone I speak to tells me something different. It's been lie after lie
