Terrible move
I have used The Move twice in the past & felt that I could trust that my belongings were looked after & cared for. Yesterday I had an absolutely devastating experience. First the truck came late, then they left behind some items that did not fit as they did not pack the truck efficiently. The absolute worst was arriving at my new home. When unpacking my things were treated like garbage. My bed is soaking wet at the bottom as if it were left to stand in a puddle of water. After the rain, there was no consideration for the mud under their feet, they persisted to walk next to the towels & plastic layed down for them leaving muddy foot prints on the freshly washed carpets. Boxes were just thrown ontop of each other & the fragile tape ignored as well as the "this side up markings". Paintings were carried 3 together without a blanket or any covering to protect the surface. All in all it was very unprofessional as the team had no experience nor guidance on how to do a move. Very disappointed & unhappy.

Terrible move

Just to thank you guys for the move on Friday, once again it was done very professionally and everyone was more than willing to go the extra mile, even helping to tape some boxes ect.e Please thank the guys again Herman.

Great Service

<p>Hermann underquoted and then tried to hold me hostage half way through moving our household contents for another load. To quote he uses an itemised list of the household contents, if he is a professional mover, he should have known how many loads were necessary and quoted accordingly. He tells me I asked for a discount (this is not the case and I have full email conversations recorded) and thats why he only delivered 1 truck. How useful is that when I have a whole household full of furniture to move?!? We had to move half our furniture ourselves as I was not prepared to be a victim of this SCAM. Thank fully we were not under a time constraint but I feel sorry for those that are and don't have any choice but to accept this dubious service.</p>

Friendly guys robbed me blind
<p>I was rally grateful for Hermann coming in at short notice to help me with a house move over a short distance. His team of 5 guys were really pleasant and helpful and we moved smoothly.<br /><br />It was only shortly after they left that we discovered things missing ... including 2 watches, 2 cellphones, money out of a drawer, money out of a wallet, a video camera and some clothing. Total value .. probably around R25 000<br /><br />Hermann immediately got the driver to apparently search his guys on the truck, but of course they found nothing. I arranged to get polygraph tests done at my expense to see who had stolen the stuff (including of my own 2 people that helped), but after initially agreeing to this, Hermann then became unresponsive, said that he needed his lawyers to approve, etc, etc and comletely avoided allowing this to be done.<br /><br />Hermann, if you are moving peoples' expensive personal and sentimental items, we have to be able to trust you. EPIC FAIL.</p>

Great service

Great Company
You guys are so great that even the people that were moving out of the house we moved into wanted to use you guys. Suck on that Man with a Van, who was late by 3 hours.<br> <br> The Move was, in a nutshell, budget friendly, efficient, looked after all of my items, quick, assisted with anything asked.<br> <br> Jabu and team, you guys are awesome.
