Good day all. After paying about R12 000 at Pavilion hotel for 5 night, and I had clearly indicated I'm bring 2 kids, 4 year and a 6 year. I'm called by the manager who says my kids made their off white sheet dirty with a stain and I need to pay them R1 800. If you in business that you don't know how it's being run, please get out of it, because you frustrating your customers. You don't know how to remove a stain from a material that you would demand that you should be paid R1 800. Moreover, I'm staying in a room that has an air on that does not work ever-since I moved in. It's a hotel that cannot even provide a fridge for this 5 days ..I'm staying. Not even 1 picture on the wall. But they called a hotel. Their lights goes off every evening, we have to report, and then someone lift the switch. Ig I had known. I would have done better with my years savings. Hope the owner sees these concerns. Room 125..

Booked this place on Agoda to check-in on the 6th between 10am-11am out the 7th. When we got the hotel we were told we can't checkin because the rooms were being fumigated. We were told we can only be checked in 15:00. "Maybe we will call you around 13:30", the rooms manager said. My experience as a Hotel Duty Manager which also taught me read situations and people, somehow i felt the story was a brush-off. The hotel should never make it possible for people to book an early checkin online. We would have never booked with them if we knew we were not gona be allowed to checkin early. We couldn't even cancel the booking cause we paid online when we made the booking i also blame myself for not reading their cancellation policy in which you forfeit 100% of your money on a same day cancellation. Ah well, we asked for our luggage to kept and off went to a mall to pass time as tired as we were from traveling the entire weekend. No call nothing as i dawned on us that we were brushed off. At 15:30 we got to the hotel from the mall. As we were checking in we asked for an street facing room and the same rooms manager told us we need to pop an extra R400 for us to be moved.😳ok we went to the assigned inner facing room. They gave us the darkest dingiest room they had. Went back to reception to understand the room difference between the inner facing room and the street facing rooms. I wa stold the street facing rooms we delux rooms and we should have booked a delux room online. BUT THE PRICE DIFFERENCE OF THE TWO ROOM TYPES ONLINE WAS R30. 😤I FELT THE R400 WAS ANOTHER BRUSH-OFF OR AN ATTEMPT TO RIP US OFF. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AT THIS PLACE IS NONSENSICAL: THEIR APPROACH IS NOT CUSTOMER ORIENTATED. WE WERE MADE TO FEEL LIKE WERE BOTHERING THEM. WHEN YOUR MONEY IS IN THD BANKS THEY DONT CARE WHAT HAPPENS TO YOU, YOU MUST JUST SWALLOW EVERY NONSENSE THEY GIVE YOU. .NEVER EVER BOOK AT THIS PLACE AND PAY IN ADVANCE. NEVER EVER BOOK USING THE WEBSITE CALLED AGODA , THEY SHOULD NOT ALLOW BOOKINGS FOR CHECKING TIMES NOT SUPPORTED BY THE HOTEL. I FEEL SCAMMED BY THESE TWO ENTITIES I REPEAT!!!!!!!!! NEVER EVER BOOK AT THIS PLACE AND PAY IN ADVANCE. NEVER EVER BOOK USING THE WEBSITE CALLED AGODA NXAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!

This hotel has really dropped in standard drastically since the last time I was here in 2019.A complete joke and disgrace.I have lost respect for this hotel.Shocking Service..There is No more Safe to keep your belongings secure,DSTV channels stopped working,Also My room was not made after i put the Make Up My Room Sign Up,and when i complained, they try to make it,as if it was my fault. There is also one arrogant guy working at reception who was quite abrupt rude, and embarrassing the way he spoke to me, but the highlight was,They made me pay R500 for unintentionally spilling Ice Tea on the bed sheets, like its not human, for someone to spill something by mistake.Sorry to say,Unless they raise their standards, and also talk to their hotel guests with respect, then they should shut down this place,or get new owners....Hardly any friendly staff members in that Place!!!

Let's start from the beginning shall we. The Pavillion Hotel situated in close proximity to the beautiful Durban beach and coast line. The Pavillion Hotel What you see....IS NOT WHAT YOU GET!!! We arrived from Cape Town tired and just wanted to sleep as we drove here by car after 14 hours, We were pleased to know that the Manager Ryan was extremely helpful as he upgraded our room to the premium hotel room, we were supposed to have a standard room. That was a great gesture however:!!!! The room was not premium at all , firstly the hotel room door doesn't close properly and you have to slam the door to get it closed. The doors don't provide you with the safety that you need as we were always worried the door would fly open. There was a menu with a number to dial for reception and what a joke it was to find out that out premium room had no phone, We spoke to the front desk and they advised that a phone will be provided, we still didn't get a phone. The bed in the room wasn't the best as it sinks in the middle of the bed and the sheet on the bed is to small for the size of the bed that it comes off and you get to see the quality of the bed which is not premium at all, the bed is worn out and the blanket was a very thin blanket. The toilet isn't fitted properly and bolted the to floor with nuts and bolts and moves while you doing you business, that's a safety hazard right there. We wanted to shower but we couldn't on the first night as we had not towels provided, we went the next day to buy our own towels, Outside on the balcony they have a ***eon problem with bird poo all over the walls, not very premium of you ask me. The bedroom wasn't cleaned properly as there was socks laying under the cupboard and there are picks to prove it that's disgusting. Let's see what else. . . At night the other visitors keep trying to open the door I had a confrontation with one of the visitors as to why they keep opening the door, remember the door doesn't close properly and if I didn't lock the door then someone would of came in while we sleeping and that wouldn't of ended well. Let me tell you about this story that happened on Thursday the day before we left We all know that durban is famous for spices, the wife and I visited family the night before and we got some nice pickles, we left them on the bedroom counter and left to Verulam market for some spices on Thursday, when we got back to the hotel a cleaner joined us on the lift and smelt the spices and asked if we are the couple in room 332 we replied yes and she said that she saw the pickles in the room and they look delicious, Guess what viewers, I didn't ask for my room to be cleaned on that day, so how did the cleaner know I have pickles in my room? They have violated my privacy and and I feel very upset about it, I had so many valuables in the room. . If I had placed the "clean my room sign" on the door it would of been different but I didn't place it on there at all. I will be laying a formal complaint on the website to customer care and hopefully it gets sorted, I am already back in Cape Town and could not wait to get back. I would not recommend the Pavillion Hotel to my worst enemy, I will never ever come near this hotel again, I am giving one start rating because there is no other option for 0 starts they do not deserve any stars at all. And guess what viewers I bet you in the next week nobody would of contacted me to sort this out, I bet you. #PAVILLIONHOTEL #WHATYOUSEE.ISNOT WHAT YOU GET #MISLEADING

By far the worst service I have ever had. From ****** and mouldy linen, to broken room doors and losses that are unaccounted for and not even an apology. This the first step of many for this hotel I’m disgusted!
