What a disgruntling experience at The Present hotel restaurant. I booked a table for my family and I, a month in advance for Easter Sunday Lunch. The table was confirmed for indoor seating. Upon arrival they had set up our table outside, directly in the sun, with no shading, in 28 degree weather. It took 20mins for a waiter to attend us and take drinks orders, while they were trying to figure out alternate seating. I had to stand up twice to ask for a waiter to attend us. After 30 minutes of sitting in unpleasant direct sunlight, we were moved to a private room inside. Barely an hour later, we were told we had to move again because the room would be utilized by other guests. At that point we were all really annoyed by the slow service and the fact that we kept being moved around and not being treated like paying guests. We decided to call the bill and leave, and even then I spend another 20mins chasing after the bill. The service was horrible.
A written apology was emailed by management, which I appreciate, but it sadly can not undo the unpleasant experience.
