I attended a series of interviews in which it was clearly indicated by both interviewees that I was suitable for the job until they heard that I knew someone they clearly dont like. My last interview was a series of questions about said person, how I knew them, what they had said about the company and personally about the interviewer. Nothing was said so I could offer no response. In the second interview the interviewer advised that I NOT accept the first offer I would receive for remuneration. I was indeed offered what a first year student is paid. I asked for an amount not very much higher but as the job appealed to me I said I would accept the lower salary if Voice Clinic could not manage the slightly higher amount (less than an extra mural speech teacher receives). I then received a rejection from Cape Town for asking for too much money. When I tried to query this reason given as I had said I would accept less if the company was in financial difficulty, and asked why the second interviewer had told me clearly not to accept that and the reason I failed the interview, the immediate response was a threat of legal action. Johanbesburg said the rejection was from Cape Town, Cape Town said it was from Johannesburg. A thoroughly unprofessional experience
