I bought a Chery Tiggo on January 14 .2026 and still have neither registration papers nor disc. Promises made that papers will be dropped off at my house,yet hasn’t happened.Then I was told,that papers were dropped off at Suzuki Blouberg,yet when I went there,papers weren’t found. Again I was promised,that papers will be dropped off as soon as foundnyet didn’t happen. Called this morning,promised call back from the receptionist,hasn’t happened. How did this shoddy operation become so big? They have no ethics,are in vile competition with their own branches,use customers as pawns to make sales and that’s the last you will ever hear from them. Despicable attitude in every branch I dealt with. Table Bay Mall,Plumstead,Blouberg.

I am extremely disappointed with the lack of professionalism and the ongoing delay regarding a refund that was due over a week ago. Despite my multiple attempts to resolve this privately, the communication has been unacceptably poor: Broken Promises: I was originally told the refund would be processed by Wednesday, 18 February. Lack of Accountability: After several ignored emails, I was finally told on Friday (20th) that they were "following up." No further updates were provided until I had to escalate the matter myself. Vague Timelines: On the 24th, I was assured by staff that a manager promised the matter would be settled "before the end of this week." As of today, Friday, 27 February, I still have no confirmation of payment or a proof of payment (POP). While I have tried to remain patient, being forced to constantly chase my own money is exhausting. A dealership's reputation is built on how they handle issues, and right now, Thorp GWM Haval Plumstead | GWM Haval is failing. To the Management: Please stop offering vague assurances and provide a proof of payment immediately. I should not have to resort to public reviews and formal channels to get a response on a simple refund.

Poor salesman behavior We were looking to purchase a Haval Joilion on Tuesday, and we decided to go to your Plum stead branch What a disaster, there were 8 salesman and NOT ONE approached me to assist. Disgusting, was I not dressed up enough or what could be the problem? Unprofessional and clearly, they were not interested in a sale. ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE I shall not return. Guess what a family member of mine had the same experience at this Branch? Is this a WHITES ONLY service? I guess you better PULL UP your socks as tis is very poor for the BRAND Your loss

I took my car for repair accident happened in their workshop it's been 3months no communication I have to run after them even to drop my car for repair they made me wait 3 weeks I don't have a car from 17 Dec2025 to date 28 Jan 2026. The manager Derek he's a not even communicating I went last week he said my car will be don't by Friday by date no action from him. Don't take your cars there they don't have customer service at all there were couple on the 17 Dec 25 complaining because they had to go for end of year function n told client by 10am they will be don't they found the car not ready n clean. Derek don't care as long he collects cheques .

Thorp plumstead repair and service centre doesn’t even deserve a 1 star rating from me. My car went in for a service in August 2025 not long after that the engine light went on, I then took my car in for a repair as to what is happening and the engine light is on. The car was in for a month as they were waiting for a part that had to be imported fine. I got the car back on 23rd September drove from plumstead to Mitchell’s plain and the engine light went on again. Same day I contacted Thorp Plumstead and they told me to bring the car in again and I did during this time while the car was there I haven’t received any form of communication with them even after emailing and calling which I left messages and was told they will get back to me but no response. After nearly a month I get called that my car is ready and I can get it. Again I go fetch the car drive from Plumstead back to Mitchell’s Plain same problem occurs. I called them again and car goes back again no communication from them to me to tell me what’s going on. Finally I get a call car is ready I go back get the car and same thing happens again just this time it doesn’t drive I call th to come and collect it and they did. Further more no body got back to me telling me exactly what the problem is even after calling and leaving emails. Again no communication. Eventually I get called that my car is ready I request that it must be dropped by me as I’m at work. The car comes back and drives fine for one day which was on the 24th November the Monday I drove the car to work and back home which is less then 15minutes during the day I do not drive. The morning 28th November car gives me the same issues I email Thorp Plumstead again and to this date I get no response to why or what is the real reason with my vehicle mind you I have paid this people R21000 to get my car fixed and after 4 months the issue is still not resolved and I’m not getting no answers or replies from Thorp Plumstead I am highly disappointed with this so called service.

I see I am not alone in this review I am about to write. This is the worst dealership I have ever had to deal with. Communication? What is that? The 'gatekeepers' won't put you through to Jacques, the dealer principal. He is either not available or in a meeting?? Derek makes promises he does not keep, Lola, workshop receptionist is rude, calls are not returned and problems are not resolved. I have been battling since the 20th August to get a resolution to the problems, of which only 1 out of 3 has been resolved, which was a warranty issue that took 2 months! Mileage is only on 1800km. I still do not have my service manual returned which was handed in in August. I have spent time, petrol, numerous phone calls and months of frustration and still no outcome. I rue the day I bought a Chery. This branch should be CLOSED DOWN!

If I could give a zero-star review, I would. This dealership used to excel in everything, but things have changed since the staff began to quit, and I suspect it's now under new management. The reception is terrible, and good luck if you try to call them. This branch should stop servicing vehicles and just focus on selling them. I own two vehicles and live down the road, but I now prefer to travel to Table View just to get my service done. The staff turnover is excessive, and all the hardworking people we used to see have moved on, leaving the service center in a state of disarray.

DO NOT ISE THIS BRANCH. Cannot even express how utterly disgusted I am with the branch. Checked my car in for a failed clutch. After a couple of days of the car being there and multiple calls to no answer, we finally received a quote totalling R26k. When enquiring about it, we were told that no really diagnosis was done (transmission was never dropped to identify the real issue). After that we insisted the transmission was dropped and a proper inspection should be done. We were then given Another quote (to a lesser value than the first) and we agreed to proceed. We continued to not receive any updates and took the issue to management, who were just a slack as the staff. After more than 30 calls we finally got feedback. When collecting the vehicle we were met with aggression and ************ when enquiring if an assessment was done to identify the cause. On employee named Devon or devin and the head mechanic (who both should be fired), threatened to get physical telling my partner to meet him in his office or take it out side. I will be taking this further and will not stop till I get answers. What disgusting service and even more disgusting staff. Generally feel sorry for any of the women that work with such aggressive and volatile boys.
