watch out when taking out an insurance policy through TIB/Hollard

Just to let you guys know that I have been with TIB insurance brokers for 5 years now which Hollard is the under writers too and my experience was to say the least "Shocking" I have been claim free now for 5 years and only to find out that I was not covered properly by the broker and yes you can say that I was responsible to check and read my policy but you would expect the person that is selling you the policy to know better and make sure that all aspects are covered. I have learned the hard way yesterday that my out buildings was covered for theft and all sorts of other things but was not covered for damage for a hot water pipe that burst and turned this flatlet into a sauna. I'm now sitting with serious damage to my build in cupboards and no one to claim from. So watch out guys, there is a lot loop holes which can be found and you will be left like myself with damaged cupboards and having paid about R 120,000 towards insurance for the last 5 years, is a bit much. I might as well have saved this money every month and would have had more than enough money to replace these cupboards and then some!!!!
