Top Notch ripped me off
I would give zero stars if I could. Was looking for a company on the internet to resolve a specific problem with my internal Wifi set-up . The owner/manager responded in no time and after explaining my problem he assured me his company and Technicians would be able to assist/solve this kind of problem. Made an appointment just to contact me later and informed me that it would not happen today but only the next day. The next day a Technician named Prince contacted me to inform me that they were on their way. After further explanation with great funfare, Prince informed me that he exactly knew what the problem was and that he would solve it in no time. Unfortunately, I am not that technical and a layman, especially when it comes to the internet, connection and the operation of routers & switches. According to him, the problem was with one of the Access Points. He climbed onto the ceiling of the house and after a few minutes reappeared and told me that he had to switch a cable at the Access Point. He then apparently changed certain settings (with his cellphone by the way) and according to him, my problem would now be solved. I questioned it but he was convinced and said not to worry, and gave me his contact number if I had any further problems. Needless to say, the problem was not solved. I tried to contact him many times, without success. The next moment I received an astronomical bill from the owner which I refused to pay in full. The owner then contacted me several times, cursing and shouting at me and threatening me. Days later I found another company that solved my problem and further informed me that the so-called switch at the Access point was not possible and just a ****. My advice to the public is to stay away from this company to save yourself hassles and money.

Biggest Scan operated by Top Notch Electronics.
This company must be the biggest ****mers i have come across. My decoder kept rebooting. Called and spoke to Tuffy. He sent Donald to my house. Without even looking at the decoder, he went straight to the dish. He cut a piece of cable connected to the LNB. Came down, showed me the frayed piece and quoted R 4 600.00 to repair. He also mentioned that my LNB was obsolete and definitely required replacing. Asked him to reconnect the piece he removed which I paid an additional R 150.00 besides the call out fee. Took my decoder again to multi choice who reformated the hard drive and reset. It's now working perfectly. This experience showed me that Top Notch Notch Electronics are put simply " Pathetic" and people must be warned about them ****ming other people. Finally, I paid Donald cash and he assured me he will WhatsApp me the invoice but NEVER did.

Poor result after being told repair was possible
I sent a picture of the fiber that needed repairing, and the person handling the WhatsApp number confirmed they could assist with the repair. However, it became clear that this type of fiber isn't something you usually work on. The splice was not done, and I was told, “That’s the best we can do.” Please don’t confirm you can assist if you're not fami**** with the specific type of fiber, as it leads to wasted time and unsatisfactory results, and my costs.

VERY BAD DSTV Technician (PRINCE)
I managed to find a company named Top Notch Electronics on the Website on Wednesday 30st of October 2024. It is helping Clients in Pretoria by referring their Technicians to assist us as Clients with DSTV issues, as I also had one & needed assistance. The person I was communicating with over WhatsApp was responding quickly as he assigned my problem to a Technician called PRINCE, a young man who didn't keep his promise by not being punctual to his 16h00 appointment & I'm not sure whether he works for the company OR he's a sub-contractor. Then he promised to come back the following day (Thursday 31 October 2024) at 11h00 in the morning as it was late & it was starting to be dark. He never returned as promised again. I had to report him again around 12h30 to find out whether he can make it OR not as he kept me waiting. He wasted my precious time as I would have call another Electronic company to assist me. He never had a decency of calling me that he cannot make it for whatever reason/s. I had to contact another Company to assist me within an hour. My advise is that any person who calls DSTV Technicians and come across a young-man named PRINCE, cancel him. There's plenty Technicians in Gauteng who can be professional.

Please avoid
Please be very careful with this company. I asked them to come out to re-instate my existing devices with my existing account. Anyway they landed up doing a whole new installation without giving me pricing, prince told me that it would be cheaper going that route than paying an existing account of R3000.00 and at the end of the day I sat with a bill of R7000.00. Prince would not leave my parents home until i paid. When he left i had still owed him R500 which was meant to be paid end of the month. When it came to the end of the month i received very ugly threatening messages to tune of "we will come into your home and it wont be nice" etc
