Trigg sent the watch to the Swatch Group in Joburg who advised that the watch did not work off of a battery and the watch needed to be sent to Longines in Switzerland which would take up to 8 weeks. The outsource approval form was signed and sent back to Trigg on 27 November 2015. On 19 January 2016 (about 7 weeks later) I followed up with Trigg and found out that the watch had never even been sent to Switzerland!! The watch had been kept in their store without anybody doing a thing about it. We were then told another form would need to be signed, which was done on 22 January 2016. We received a quote on 17 February 2016 from Trigg Jewellers advising that the cost to repair the watch would be R 2, 450 and would take between 2 to 3 weeks. Additionally we were told that a new alligator strap would cost an additional R 2, 970 but would take an additional 16 weeks! We approved the cost for the repairs only as we wanted to get the watch back as quickly as possible. In March 2016 we once again followed up and were told that the watch would only be ready at the end of May 2016. We are appalled by the fact that the watch was sent in over 5 months ago and we have absolutely nothing to show for it. The service from Trigg, Swatch Group and Longines has been absolutely disgusting. Trigg Jewellers merely passes on the blame to Switzerland, from whom we have never heard a peep.
