If zero stars were an option, I would choose that without hesitation. My experience with Tyson Properties has been consistently disappointing and incredibly frustrating. Since the start of our agreement, the level of service has been almost non-existent - yet their monthly management fee is always collected without any delay or issue. For months now, my tenants and I have been waiting for basic maintenance quotes. Despite contacting multiple staff members, including Teya Marias, Stephen Adamo, and even the manager Liam Mally, I receive no communication, no updates, and no assistance. Emails, calls, follow-ups - all ignored. It is unbelievable that a company in 2025 can operate with such a complete lack of communication and accountability. They do not honor their contract, they do not support their clients, and they do not provide the service they are paid for. I am paying R42,426.01 for property management, yet there is zero evidence of any management taking place. At this point, this feels like a clear breach of contract and an exploitation of hard-working property owners who trust them to act professionally. I am now seeking formal assistance to resolve this, as Tyson Properties has shown no interest in helping either me or my tenants. I strongly advise anyone considering Tyson Properties to look elsewhere.

Tyson properties Umhlanga is the absolute worst. Firstly when we started the lease there were so many hidden costs and If I didn't ask I don't know if we would of been told until it was time to pay, secondly the agent **** about work that had been done and work still completed, we lived maybe 8 days in the house and mould starting coming out everywhere and there's leaks in the roof. The landlord is rude and doesn't reply to messages but only wants her money. The agent always comes with the same soppy story that she's sorry and doesn't know what to do but never comes with solutions. They said a inspector came to view and clear the place before we moved in, but when we insisted on getting the disclaimer from the inspector all of a sudden no one came to inspect. Even the Principal is rude and defensive. It's absolutely trash.

By far the worst agency I've ever worked with. And that's saying a lot because I'm in durban. I won't mention any names but all info available with proof. This agent collected my money but failed me as a customer in a few instances. The house was inspected by them, they saw the issues, promised to fix them, bad sufficient time to solve them but didn't. The place was filthy when I moved in. I mean that's the basic stuff. The place had alcohol containers hidden in the kitchen and taps that were loose. This man looked me dead in the eye and told me it was clean. The landlord came and **** saying it had been cleaned when it wasn't. Walls were dirty. Cupboards were dusty. Hello Peter needs a section for photos. These are not the only issues. But all were reported. I told the agent to fix these and he told me he had tried to speak to the landlord. Lol this after I paid the money for his services and didn't TRY. Overall a terrible experience. I'd give 0 stars if I could.

I would like to thank Rozeanne Smit from Tysons Properties, Helderberg, CPT, for the sale of my home. Her resilience, patience, friendly nature, not to mention, extremely kind, efficient and authentic work ethic was what got my home sold in less than 2 months. The excellent customer service that I've recieved from "Resilient Rozeanne" is worth raving about to anyone that may read or come across this post. She didnt just make a sale, she changed my life, as well as my outlook on real estate agencies. So to anyone in the area looking to sell their homes through agencies, Rozeanne Smit from Tysons Properties, Helderberg is your trusted realtor✅ Many thanks, with gratitude, Mr & Mrs Sewpersad

Dont even start. Had to stay in my old house a month due to the fact that the agent did not make sure that the tenant move out. Luckily my attorney stopped process before registration. Had to live between boxes like a squatter. Then the manager phones me and tell me how good the agent is and was not prepared to listen to my complaint. I threw the phone down in his ear. Not even the ceo came back to me. Disgusting service to say the least

Agent from Pietermaritzburg, Karmenthran Ramadan, operated in the following manner, when contacted to sell my house: 1. Did not disclose that he was going to charge vat, on top of the 7% commission. 2. Distorted the sole mandate document. He asked me to sign, he would fill in the rest at the office. I trusted him. I DID NOT GIVE HIM SOLE MANDATE FOR 6 MONTHS & 2 WEEKS 3. When asked for a copy of the sole mandate document, he sent a generic document. When requested for the document I signed, he deleted the previous document, sent me the *****ulent document. 4. I asked him to contact me, to sort this out, he called saying he's busy, will call tomorrow. I'm waiting, 12 days later. Please, I implore people, that don't trust estate agents. Especially persons of this calibre.

Firstly, i do want to mention that i am not one to criticize however i am still in shock and lost for words with the service rendered by a agent representing the Tyson Properties- Glenwood branch. We had a confirmed viewing for a property in Glenwood and to my astonishment there was 9 cars with families all waiting to view this apartment as they all had an arrangement for 6pm this evening. To say the least we all were escorted up the stair-case and through the narrow passage way together as a group, and to my horror to find that the current tenants at this apartment had the bedrooms occupied with 1 guy still jumping into he's bed whilst people were standing at the doorway of this bedroom and inspecting the room. Shockingly this individual didn't seem fazed in the least by our presence and further to this the agent had not mentioned prior to any of us at the briefing that the viewing would not be applicable to minors (my daughter of 7years) as there are men in their rooms in their underwear who are occupying the bedrooms and might not be a good idea to have kids present for the meeting. Further to this there were atleast 8 individuals in the apartment viewing whilst the current tenants were also occupying the rooms and lounge. I am honestly deeply dissapointed as i personally have meetings on a daily basis being a manager and organiser for one of the leading events companies in the country. I am most concerned for the company this agent is under, as this would leave a bitter taste in anyones mouth to have dealt with such circumstances as i can gladly say that i have had many great experiences with a few agents over the past few weeks, and then to deal with this ordeal was a nightmare. Certainly will not be recommending this company to anyone, as i deal with alot of new clientelle on a daily basis and conversate on a array of topics including property listings in and around Durban, being the Top tier LSM individuals that i deal with. Wishing the business all the best.

I had an absolutely terrible experience with an agent from Tsyon. The agent was consistently unresponsive, avoided taking accountability, and caused significant delays due to repeated errors in the lease agreement. These mistakes included basic spelling errors, incorrect dates, and the omission of important information that had been previously discussed and agreed upon. Her attitude throughout the process was dismissive and unprofessional, as if she genuinely didn’t care. To get anything resolved, I had to repeatedly chase her. The lease, which was supposed to start on the 4th, was delayed, and I am now only able to move in on the 7th. On top of that, I overpaid on the deposit due to her incompetence, and getting my refund has turned into yet another frustrating ordeal. To make matters worse, I didn’t even receive the signed lease until the 4th—completely unacceptable. I cannot recommend this agency, as their lack of professionalism and care caused unnecessary stress and financial inconvenience. Stay away if you value your time and money.
