I have bought a solar gel battery at unimart Hebron mall, on the 1 march 2025. I used the battery only for 3days then started to malfunction. I took it back to the store, they did not want to exchange at first. After i told them to connect it and see for themselves thats when they gave me another battery. I said it must be tested at first before i leave the store. So it was working fine when i get home the battery is doing the same as first one. only to find out after i left the store that there was another support battery inside solar generator the time i said they must test that battery. that is why the battery appeared to be working fine. When i took it back i told them thats it your batteries are not working i need exchange to solar panel. They giving me run around they say the supplier of battery is checking the battery. The battery has fault and i am to blame. How is that possible when i only used it for 3days then it started to malfunction. On that 3days it did not charge fully as expected. The store manager is rude everytime i go to the store to follow up on the matter she is making noise at the same time working inside a store with a baby. She would be carrying a baby authorising for cashiers at the till point in front of customers... I have proof, unimart is not the store you can trust with service. I am still waiting for feedback from unimart about battery supplier and exchange to this day.

Went to a Unimart store in Rosettenville where I witnessed a shocking event. Two men had exited the store without having their purchased items checked! One security guy run after them, bought them back inside the store and then proceeded to slap, punch and beat the two men. After it was established that the two men had indeed paid for the items and were in fact in possession of a receipt, the same security idiot then again proceeded to violently push and shove the two men out of the store. As it turns out it was merely a case of a miscommunication between the two men and the Chinese man at the entrance. You'd swear that this was perhaps an expensive mall or store, but it is in fact a cheap store selling cheap and low quality Chinese products! You wouldn't even get this type of treatment at Sandton Mall or Mall of Africa, because those people are not ****s or hooligans and have class. I will never shop at Unimart again!

I went to Unimart Carnival City on Saturday 6 January to get a school bag. We chose a bag, ALL bags on the shelves were marked at R 500, the bags were not individually marked. When we got to the till the bag rang as R 700, i brought it to their attention that this was incorrect. They called the manager, whose attitude was he doesn't care what the Law states, he was not selling me the bag for the price stated on the shelves.

I bought toys at Unimart store located in Secunda square, the problem is you can't open and see what is inside as they are not allowing that; at the same time they don't exchange. I bought toys yesterday when I arrived home I saw the quality of what was in the box is very very poor, I then decided to go and exchange they refused. They don't want to know the reason you are bringing it back. Who knows they want to get rid of it... Please be ware of that shop they are cheap but do not have customer care.

Stressed by festive season, so i went to Edgars Mall of Tembisa for window shopping. When i get there i found affordable clothes and sizes for all my children. Then i decided to do shopping and i was carrying clothes in my hands still busy checking other clothes. I heard someone greeting me then i greeted while busy looking down on the clothes, then the guy said sorry mama here is the trolley to put your items in so that u can have a happy and easy shopping. It was the staff member who was mechandising next to where i was and i was not even aware that i carried a lot of items in my hands. This is very rare experience to find in local stores and i felt well taken of.i would like to say thank you guys and keep up the good work. I love the passion and good customer care service of Edgars mall of Tembisa staff members.

I bought an adaptor cable at Unimart Cash & Carry Bushbuckridge on 17 September 2021. I used my cheque card to make payment but the receipt could not print. the cashier told me that the printing paper was not installed properly and tried to print again but still nothing came out. She then requested me to show her the sms on my cell phone to ensure that the transaction went through, i went to fetch the phone in my car and showed her the proof. she told me that i must go and print the statement from the bank cos that’s the only proof acceptable at that store. i refused citing additional charges that I will incur for something that was not my fault. I requested to speak to the store manager but she shouted at me telling me that she can’t help me without a bank statement. I went to report at the police station, went to the shop with the police, I showed her and the police online statement indicating the transaction from my banking App but still refused and said she want a printed statement, she told me that I must go home and wait till the transaction is cleared on my account then come back to the shop with printed statement, then she will give me my product. out of frustration I left the store without the product which I paid. now i have to suffer additional costs of printing a bank statement, which is a confidential document, and transport for going back to the shop to collect the item. Please help.
