Title: 🚨 URGENT: United Airlines Must Intervene – Minor Child in Emotional Distress and Safety Risk 🚨 Review: I am writing this as a desperate father and a responsible parent. My wife, whose case is currently under review by the U.S. Consulate in Cape Town, is attempting to board a flight with United Airlines despite being advised not to travel.at 19h50pm What makes this situation deeply alarming is that she has left our minor daughter behind in extreme emotional distress. Today, my daughter cried uncontrollably at school and could not concentrate or function. The school contacted me in distress because of her emotional breakdown. United Airlines must act responsibly and cooperate with the relevant authorities, including U.S. Customs and Border Protection and the Consular office, to prevent this boarding and protect the welfare of a minor child. I have submitted documentation and communication to the Consulate reflecting the urgency of this matter. I implore United Airlines to exercise moral duty and compassion by halting her travel until the Consular review concludes. This is not just about policy—it’s about a child’s right to stability, emotional safety, and parental care. Every hour that passes without intervention increases the trauma and psychological risk to my daughter. United Airlines must stand for ethical action, family protection, and cooperation with international child welfare obligations.

I am very upset and disappointed in United Airlines - UA. My wife and myself made a booking via Flight Centre for a return trip to Vancouver -YVR, Canada, leaving 31 May 2025, returning end 22 July (which changed to 26 July,) 2025. On the third leg to YVR, from Seattle- SEA- to YVR (UA used Air Canada - AC)- and both our names appeared on the boarding list, however my wife's ticket did not pull through, so she could not get a boarding past. After more thnt 90 minutes running around SEA airport between AC and UA check in counters to get my wife's boarding pass sorted out, we ran out of time and a Supervisor of UA suggest/advise to cancel both our tickets between SEA-YVR, reinstate all other return flights and then we can claim the refund from UA on our return to SA. On our return, we contacted Flight Centre and ask them to put a claim in with UA for a refund. We also, on 1 September, contacted UA direct for the refund. We do not get any reply from UA, except that are busy sorting it out. Does it take more than 2 months for an Airline to sort something like this out? UA also have limited mail contact options, and it is frustrating to communicate with them. I hope we can get their attention now. Nico

Horrible service and absolute staff! No manners at all! Spoken to like they are better than me! Like you’re a waitress, in the air!! You’re not better than anyone! Nothing special about you! All crew was rude! Food I booked prior to the flight was not seen, no extra vegetarian food was available even after FORGETTING main meals! If you were a compassionate company you would have checked on a passengers who had no food for 15 hours!!

I traveled to Atlanta from Cape Town, my suitcases got broken, I reported the damaged goods United promised to replace one bag and fix the other. I was hoping they will do that I can travel back home because my clothes were all over. Unite Airlines never replace any, I wrote emails, I signed claim forms and followed up but till today they give me a run around.

My son travelled on United Airlines to the USA and had 350 dollars removed from his back pack by the security personnel employed by United Airlines at Cape Town International Airport. This was captured on the security cameras at CT International. This is obviously a concern as security personnel should obviously be trustworthy and not inclined to ***** from customers. United Airlines don't really seemed interested in addressing the issue. Therefore be warned when travelling with United that you can't trust the security personnel they have in place.

This experience does not even deserve a 1 star rating. I flew United Airlines from Newark to Johannesburg and the food I received was absolutely disgusting. We got served chicken and rice filled with water and raw tomatoes. The rice was hard as if it was not cooked and the supposed gravy it came with was water. The chicken was still raw as well. It was absolutely disgusting. The snack later on was a chicken sandwich which was stale. The breakfast after were scrambled eggs and sausage - the eggs were runny and tasted raw too. 14 hours without anything edible is unacceptable United. You need to do better. You can't compare this **** to other airline foods such as Emirates or Swiss, etc. Whoever is preping your food is going to leave your customers sick!!!!
