Not happy with the service.
Hello universal I would like to say I got a bad service from you guys I'm not happy at all that guy who was helping me there by the shop mixed a wrong paint for me give me a wrong paint for my wooden table even gave me a wrong brush to use I'm not happy with the service there they even mixed the wrong color for me.the was this guys who always helped me with everything his name was Thabiso if I remember wel.. m not buying Universal paints anymore.

Excellent Service
Friendly service and great advice good prices my favorite paint shop Universal Paints Linden. If they dont stock it they source it great Team environment, clean and well stocked. Gomes highly recommended.

Lousy service
We have been supporting Universal Paints Randpark Ridge for years and their service was good. A few months ago we bought a few tins of paint, used all one tine was left which we sealed. We open it now and it's off. Our builder says paint should not go off in such a short time. We contact the branch and they blame us for not sealing the tin, so we say we are not happy with that response. The person says he will get the store manager to phone us - we are still waiting. So, in trying to save a bit of money they lost a long-term client - brilliant marketing startegy! Neither our builder, nor ourselves will go back. Hello Chamberlains and Builders Warehouse where we have no hassles.

Lousy service

Verbal abuse
Terrible service if you can call it that with Universal paints situated in linden Jhb. And that by the owner Neil himself. Verbal abuse ,,and non vocabulary ethics,, escalated the issue with HQ. Let's see!

Great Service from Universal Paints!!!!!!
They say better late than never, and this is the case with me after dealing with Keagan late last year. I had gone to the shop to buy paint but was not quite sure about the colour. I was attended to Keagan, he was very patient and helpful, and the passion and friendliness displayed in the process are qualities that one does not see/experience often these days. Keagan- This should have been conveyed last year but we are here now, a big thank you for great service at the shop, you are certainly an asset to the business.

Great Service from Universal Paints!!!!!!
They say better late than never, and this is the case with me after dealing with Keagan late last year. I had gone to the shop to buy paint but was not quite sure about the colour. I was attended to Keagan, he was very patient and helpful, and the passion and friendliness displayed in the process are qualities that one does not see/experience often these days. Keagan- This should have been conveyed last year but we are here now, a big thank you for great service at the shop, you are certainly an asset to the business.

UNIVERSAL PAINTS
We have been using UP for several years and had to get paint made up using NCS codes. The surfaces painted ended up needing 3-5 coats. When we approached the branch in Strubensvalley and Head Office, regarding the poor quality,they didn't have any reasonable explanation and maintained their codes were correct and it was mixed correctly. We then went to Chamberlain to compare using exact same codes and only 2 coats were required. Please do not use them for NCS paints ,you will struggle with coverage and they will not take responsibility for a failed product. Rhone who is the CEO does not return calls or reply to emails. We even went to HO directly and still no joy in resolving this even though they could see how thin their paint was in comparison. We spent close to R80k on paints for this project . They do not own up to mistakes and have very poor communication.
