The lift did not work and all the sick and frail had to climb up the stairs. I did not have any linen on my bed when I arrived even though i was expected. Some of the nurses were really struggling to load the information on to their new ipads and my nurse even asked me to read and spell all the names on the medication as she could not see well. Some of the nurses were extremely rude and unfriendly. One of the nurses kept spilling the medication that was to go into my drip and into a drip for the patient opposite me. She then poured the half container into the drip which was put in incorrectly and i had blood and medcine leaking out and the patient opposite me was in agony as the drip went into the muscle. It took ages before the lovely, overworked sister was available to correct our drips. I was in absolute agony and asked the very rude and clumsy nurse if I could have something for the pain and was told I had to wait for 2 hours. I asked if she could please phone my specialist as I could not cope with the pain and she refused, I then messaged my specialist and he came around to checj. She later told me that I had no right to contact him. I had severe heart burn and constipation and told the nurse and she said nothing was prescribed for me. I got my husband to buy for heartburn and waited to see what they would give me for constipation before I left but I left 2.9kg heavier and no medication. An absolutely horrible hospital visit. My bed folded up in half and the rudest nurse did nothing about it. I had to walk to the nurses counter and the nice young gentleman removed the bed and gave me a new one. The catering lady was a breath of fresh air... Friendly and smiling. There was one bathroom/toilet between 8 patients and no bedside cabinet only a small cupboard that had to be pushed away against a wall or it fell over. The staff on duty at night were so loud, laughing and shouting so not easy to sleep.
