Hi, Its frustrating to pay alot of money to use this courier company for urgent international parcels. I bought items last week Tuesday which initial delivery was meant to be the friday (23 September) however flights were delayed and ultimately parcel was not delivered. Yesterday i was told to make payment for clearance, i paid (pay and clear, which will reflect immediately) and sent proof of payment. Today, im told the bank Standard Charted bank must confirm that funds are received before booking parcels are sent for clearance. If i used a cheaper option the items would probably have been delivered by tomorrow which is approximately 5£ less. So the point of paying extra for quicker turnaround time is useless.

I've been waiting for a parcel to arrive from Australia since 11th June 2022. It is a gift for my baby shower from a family member. When it didn't arrive , i called UPS to find out about the where abouts of the parcel, the person argued with me that UPS didn't have anything to do with the parcel. I called again, and spoke to a better person and was told that they will follow up for me. I was then sent an Import Vat Invoice... I called UPS again to tell them that EVERYWHERE on the LABEL, COMMERCIAL INVOICE and paperwork, IT IS A GIFT and i shouldn't pay Import Vat.... It's always nice when they don't read properly what the parcel is .... The next day, i called again... I was told that the parcel has now been detained and sent to Port Health, and there is nothing i can do about it, i was also emailed a list of fees that could incur... I am STILL waiting for my parcel!!!! I am 6 months pregnant and seriously don't need this kind of stress over a small parcel that's more sentimental value than money value.. This service and treatment from UPS is absolutely SHOCKING. I believe that this was done on purpose to be spiteful to me because of 1 of the first phone calls where the person had such a horrible attitude. Basically the attitude is " Well there's nothing you can do about it"... I then got feedback after another email i sent saying that Port Health is having a problem with some kind of staff or overtime issue.... Which has absolutely nothing to do with my parcel and the treatment from UPS. I then received another email saying that the cream in my parcel was the problem. So what story will be next?????? I will be taking this matter further if i do not receive proper feedback and delivery of my parcel.. I asked where i can go fetch it myself and still no answer..... If there is any damage to my parcel or i don't receive it, i will be contacting my attorney. It is terrible that the sender paid such a lot of money to send a small parcel and this is what you pay for..... SIES!

I purchased a V-Envie UPS from UPS Warehouse in Jhb 18 months ago and it burst into flames this month. So a warning on the product ( even though they maintain this has never happened before ) and also the customer experience. After two ignored e mails to the National Sales Person I phoned them and there was an immediate denial of responsibility. Through some calls and e mails they stated that their warranty is only for 12 months irrespective of issue , even though this fire was a catastrophic failure than caused smoke damage, and luckily I was at home when it happened and extinguished it quickly they would not entertain any claim or responsibility for their product or even offer a discount if I wanted to purchase a replacement / different unit.

UPS South Africa has the most annoying service ever. They would not deliver your parcel even if its stated as samples because they want to generate revenue and force you to pay some bogus and hidden charges claiming its for the customs. Eventually when you pay everything they still refuse to deliver to you and feel lazy about it. UPS staff must just close down if they feel reluctant to work. Imagine spending your hard earned money to call and waiting in line for more than 30minutes only to get cut off right about the time of an important conversation but the consultants would never call you back to complete your assignment. This is totally dishonest and unacceptable. My tracking number is 1ZX2W4246799536505 and UPS claimed that my address is incorrect when the driver could have just put a call through to the cell phone even if they couldn't find their way. Is it too expensive to put airtime on your delivery van and make things easier for customers after paying so much fro shipment?

I have bought a R96k Ups System through Barbara at UPS Warehouse and added the delivery/installation/commissioning option to ensure that nothing can go wrong with my installation. A technical team from UPS Warehouse came to my house and installed the system, approved the integration of the UPS System with my current solar system and commissioned the device. The unit was activated early in May 2021 and 3.5 days later the system malfunctioned and was badly damaged. I logged a call and the technical team came to my site to inspect the faulty unit. They told my installer, who is a very highly qualified artisan, that they have no idea what could have caused the damage as they have never experienced this before. They took the unit in for repairs. The company billed me R14766.32 for the repair which should have been a warranty claim as nobody could explain what caused the damage with even 50% cer*****y. Neil, the company expert, came to site and was as confused as to the cause of the damage and found nothing wrong with the installation or integration of the Ups unit into my current system. Ups Warehouse did the commissioning!! Barbara from Ups Warehouse, sent me an email, which proposed a replacement deal on my request as I had no faith in the product anymore and wanted to find an amicable solution to the problem, which would be mutually beneficial . We settled on a deal only to come to a conclution that the product which would be the replacement for the Ups and an extra R28248.60 that I had to pay to the company, was not compatible nor approved to integrate with my system being a combination of Victron and Fronius. Obviously Ups Warehouse, Andrew and his supplier Hubble Lithium disagreed with the findings but neither of them wanted to endorse the use of the product in my installation on paper. Andrew from Ups Warehouse then decided to revert back to the first deal as I told him that I can not swap one product unfit for the application for another product unfit for the same application without company warranty and guarrantee. I asked for a full refund under the Consumer Protection Act which clearly states that any product that you purchase should at least live up to the expectation. 3.5 days and the unit failed completely!! Ups Warehouse has recieved R96k for the initial purchase, an extra R14k for the repair, an extra R28k to facilitate an incompatible product and R5203.00 for delivery/installation/commissioning. Andrew has sent me his very first email during this mess last night to inform me that I can ask for a quote from Ups Warehouse to re-install, pay it and then they will deliver the repaired unit to my site or I can send a qualified person to fetch on my behalf and sign off the unit. No warranty claim, no guarantee that the unit is suited for my application, no refund on the unit!! Plse don't make the same mistake as I did!! This is only the beginning!!

After purchasing an inverter from UPS Warehouse it had some technical issues. The company and Marco and Quintus in particular went out of their way to resolve the issue. It's good to see that this level of excellence can still be found in South Africa.
