As everyone knows I sustained a brain injury and have short term memory issues preventing me from working. I used to earn quite well and the adjustment of being on a disability grant is quite difficult. I am trying to save on all expenses so I collect rain water and collect wood for our indoor fireplace when I walk my dog every day even in the rain. I make an effort to pick up at least one plank on each walk and we therefore make fires ALOT. I then contacted Vendange about the possibility of being gifted a used/returned/repaired fireblower and the asked for my address (which i honestly thought was just to shut me up). Today while sleeping a fireblower was delivered to our home and I only saw it late evening in our lounge. I assume my dad accepted it. I would really like to thank Vendange for assisting a mentally disabled person that had no prior dealings with them. Any business able to assist someone in need is a business I would recommend to anyone.

On 1 October I bought two wooden bread boards from Vendage 44 Stanley in Milpark a R 500.00 each. When I got home, to my dismay, I noticed that the wood on one of the boards was flaking. This could be quite seriously damaging to my health, if I cut a piece of bread and one piercing piece of wood would go in my throat. Due to business commitments I could not go to the shop straight away, so I travelled from Bedfordview all the way to Auckland Park, to return the board this morning. When I showed the damage to the saleslady, she asked me not to lift the chipping wood because it would cause even more damage, so she admitted that the board was chipping. After a series of arguments, the saleslady refused to refund my funds, and at my insistence, she contacted a senior employee. Allegedly the owner was overseas, maybe a convenient excuse, by the name of Michelle. The saleslady was requested to send a photo of the damaged bread board, and Michelle's verdict was that the bread board is made out of barrel l wood and this is a natural texture of the board. At this point I was totally outraged as Vendage can sell a bread board that could cause bodily harm to a client. I did leave the board at the store, and still didn't get an apology nor my money back,
