VW Rustenburg Supergroups is, without a doubt, the most frustrating and disappointing dealership I’ve ever dealt with. Even after they replaced my car, getting proper assistance was a constant struggle. Everything had to be done their way. The staff were extremely rude. I was screamed at while calmly asking questions. I’ve never experienced such unprofessional and intimidating behavior from a business. The FNI in particular, stood out ,she clearly lies with a straight face. This experience has left a bitter taste, and I can honestly say I’ve never disliked a company more. I will never return, and I urge anyone considering doing business there to be very cautious. I so wish that i could've read the reviews of this company before going there I, now realize why most people did not get the help they needed.

: 1 April 2025 Re: Complain regarding pre-owned vehicle purchased from Volkswagen Rustenburg Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with a pre-owned vehicle I recently purchased from Volkswagen Rustenburg. I, Eileen Petersen, purchased a pre-owned vehicle from your Rustenburg dealership on 19 March 2025. I should note that this was not the vehicle I had initially selected. Upon collecting the vehicle at approximately 17:00, I immediately noticed several concerning issues during my journey home. Issues Identified Upon driving the vehicle, I discovered the tyres were significantly under-inflated, necessitating immediate attention. After addressing this issue, further problems became apparent including distinct abnormal noises from the gearbox, poor vehicle handling and balance, unusual sounds from the doors whilst driving, and concerns with the rear suspension. Further inspection revealed evidence of repainting without prior disclosure, misaligned door panels, and visible marks on the chassis suggesting possible previous accident damage. The paintwork quality was substandard throughout. The service documentation was woefully inadequate, lacking the vehicle identification number, registration details, service history verification, and proper dealership authentication via stamps. I was provided conflicting information regarding the vehicle's history, being unclear whether it was previously privately owned or used as a demonstration model. The odometer reading of 15,000 km was present without supporting documentation verifying its accuracy. Actions Taken I contacted the sales representative immediately upon arriving home on 19 March 2025 to report these issues. Though advised to return the following Monday, I found the vehicle's condition too concerning to wait. After another test drive the following morning confirmed the same problems, I returned the vehicle to your dealership on 20 March 2025. I specifically requested a replacement vehicle rather than repairs, as I do not wish to accept a newly purchased vehicle requiring immediate rectification. Despite my clear communication, I was informed that the vehicle would be sent for a DEKRA inspection only after I had identified and demonstrated the faults. The vehicle has remained at your Rustenburg dealership since 20 March 2025. Desired Resolution I am formally requesting cancellation of the vehicle finance agreement. I find it unacceptable that your dealership appears unwilling to source a suitable replacement vehicle and instead seems to be pressuring me to accept a vehicle with which I am fundamentally dissatisfied. While I appreciate that the vehicle comes with a warranty, I consider it unreasonable to immediately rely on warranty coverage for a newly purchased pre-owned vehicle. Even a pre-owned purchase should be in proper working order without requiring immediate extensive repairs. I trusted Volkswagen's reputation for quality and customer service, and I am disappointed that this situation has not been resolved appropriately. I look forward to your prompt response and a satisfactory resolution to this matter. Yours faithfully, Eileen Petersen

After a disappointing encounter at the dealership, I still had to take my Polo in for service, as I was about to travel a long distance for a family vacation. I sent the car in with my colleague, and yet, Carla Cintra sent me regular updates. She contacted my colleague to fetch the car when the technicians were done. Later in the day, she took the time to call me, and update me as to the status of my vehicle, and what work was done. I am grateful for people like Carla, as I had peace of mind on the road, knowing that my vehicle was well taken care of. Thank you Carla. You are a star!

Volkswagen Rustenburg Rustenburg Volkswagen ( Workshops) Are probleems all started in August 2023 when we took our VW Touareg to Vw rustenburg for a service. The workshop at that stage "forgot to put back ann pipe that was removed. This was then partially sorted out. After I had a massive fight with the workshop manager Ricardo. After this incident , our vw touareg started giving us endless problems. The touareg kept on going back to the dealership and everything kept getting worse from here on. Issue reported . Got the car back with the same problems and some bigger problems every time. The aircon started giving us problems after an visit to the deals . This just turned in to a nightmare on its own. The had to replace parts fitted under the dashboard , this ended up in a brake down on the N4 highway with my family in the car stranded next to the road with a car overheating. Needless to say this was because of a pipeline damage caused by the workshop when working on the aircon. The problems just got worse and the car kept going back. The car started losing power on pull away, this was reported to the workshop. This was already reported also reported on the 4th of March 2024. At this time I was already so frustrated. The suspension error on the car was also reported on the specific visit to the dealership, needless to say till this day this was not resolved. Long story short I met the Dealer principle, that just started working at the dealership earlier this year. Yes he at that stage wanted to help and as the fist meeting went , Ruan stated to me " we should get you out of the car" . At that stage we stated looking at some options, but because of the position the dealership put us in. At this stage the DP made his company car available for us to use , this help us out and we were really thankful for this. He also insuranced us that the car will be sorted out one he returns it for us. This car was then at the workshop for some time. When the Touareg was returned to me by the DP himself I told him that the car is still losing power and this is not sorted out. He as a VW DP at the dealership told me that those cars all does that. This car never did that before. As I was frustrated at the time I took the car back. The problems just continued. Suspension,Aircon engine. This morning I manged to make a video of the car losing power . With all the suspension lights and all. I showed the workshop what happens. This morning they also borrowed us a vw amarok to drive. But this relationship is now beyond the point of restoring trust, in the brand aswell as the dealership. This is really frustrating. And we are fighting a losing battle with this guy

I'm very much disappointed at kind of service this business provided my son.In this day and age , it is disgusting. My son move to Rustenburg, our car was due for service , I then suggest he takes it to V WRustenburg, the decision I will forever regret. First the amount they charged was the highest we’ve ever paid , R5000 plus for the service which we never had a problem by the way. Now where he went and collected the car he then realized that the springs on his suspension were not correctly put back.He then tried to explain this asking VW to assist him with that , but b is now they had our money they didn't hear him.VW Rustenburg just didn't care after charging us that much. What angered me more is that spring could have caused us our car because it was wrongly placed just under the petrol pipe and that could burst the petrol pipe. We usually use VW Mc Dulling in Booysens and we have never had such issues and I thank McDulling for their professionalism. I will rather spend money for petrol and take our car to Mc Dulling Booysens, never taking a chance with VW Rustenburg. They need to review their customer service policies. These are our cars and we know them , their is to respect their customers .We’ve had this car since 2018 , never had issues with VW McDulling Booysens.

We wanted to buy a T cross from VW Rustenburg, the sales person kept us hanging for 4days and then told us the car is sold to someone else. Worst experience I had from a car dealer. I would not recommend anyone to buy from VW Rustenburg.

Dishonest and misleading consultants,I’m not happy at all with the service that I received from VW Rustenburg, What happened is, they sold me their 3 years service plan that covers from 60km-90km and said that it’s gonna cover up to 90km Last year May I came for 75km service all went well and my car was still on 71km by then Today I came for 90km and my car is still in 83km because I don’t travel a lot…now they’re telling me that my plan expired last year June but I was here in May last year for 75km not 90km, I am confused 😐 I was here on the 12/04/2024 to book for 90km service Lizzel said yes I’m still covered and she wanted to sell me another service plan for +-R11600 that is going to cover up to 120 km then I decline it ,but today she says I’m not covered for 90km and she gave me a bad attitude and said she doesn’t recall me, she referred me to someone else just like that. Now everyone acts surprised, they’re telling me that my service plan expired last year June and I was here Last year May for 75km and not 90km and no one told/disclosed that to me.😭😡😡
