I purchased the Walking Pad A1 Pro from WalkingPad SA’s Melrose store on 27 December 2024, expecting a high-quality product due to the premium price. Less than a month later, I noticed the belt/mat was misaligned and the edges were visibly damaged.
Despite following the user manual instructions, consulting the salesperson in-store, and watching online videos to ensure correct usage, the mat continued to misalign and damage itself. This clearly indicates a defect in the product's design or manufacturing quality.
When I reported the issue to WalkingPad SA, their response was completely dismissive. Instead of acknowledging the fault, they blamed me for "misalignment" and refused to honor the warranty. They even had the audacity to offer a paid repair for a product that should not have malfunctioned within such a short time under normal use.
For a product marketed and priced as "premium," this experience has been nothing short of disappointing. The walking pad is fragile, poorly made, and not fit for purpose. Their after-sales service is equally abysmal, showing no accountability or willingness to assist customers who are sold faulty products.
If this is what WalkingPad SA considers acceptable quality and customer service, I strongly urge anyone considering their products to think again. Not only are their items overpriced and unreliable, but their dismissive attitude toward legitimate complaints speaks volumes about their business practices.
Save yourself the frustration, time, and money. There are better options out there from companies that stand behind the quality of their products. WalkingPad SA will not see another cent from me.
