I purchased supper last night from Wasabi Legacy Yard Umhlanga which came to R500. The lady that served me was super assertive, which gave me a very uncomfortable feeling. My husband in a joke brought that to her attention. The wok meal I ordered all the time with fried rice was supposedly could not be done and it apparently only came with noodles, so I had to settle for fried rice which was a totally different meal. The meals we ordered was of poor quality. My son's sweet chilli wok meal with noodles was poorly prepared. the fried rice prawn meal that my husband and I ordered were dry and tasteless. This is so disappointing as I really enjoyed the restaurant when it first opened. The quality was high, and the taste was exceptional. It sad how restaurants lose the plot when they gain their popularity and success. What a waste of my money and time? I will NEVER buy from this restaurant again.

On Sunday 8th September 2018 our family had lunch at the Wasabi Restaurant in Mall of Africa. Both family members who ate Mussels got food poisoning. My son in-law contacted them via email to inform them of this however to this day NO response has been received. The least management could have done was to acknowledge his email.

<p>The owners themselves are Greek/Portuguese/Lebanese, but they feel they can subject Chinese sushi chefs to apartheid-like policies such as not being allowed to use the same toilets as other people.<br /><br />A female sushi chef Shairley Yang was made to work 7 days a week for 16 hours a day or more without lunch. When she wanted to reason about it her manager told her to "**** off back to China."</p> <p> </p> <p>We had to lose Shairley here in Mpumalanga, because she thought that she would get a better job in Johannesburg. Now we know what happened.<br /><br />My number is here. Please tell me what makes one foreign ethnic group more entitled to stay here and make money off us than another...</p>
