I cancelled my insurance policy in July and was subsequently charged for two additional months. When I reached out to WSCIB, I was informed the debit order would be reversed, but it was not. When I emailed them to bring up this issue, I did not get a response. I then phoned the Managing Director and was informed that it was an error on Discovery side and "if there was an error" I would be reimbursed. I have an email thread that outlines my request for cancellation, there was an error, Darren. I then called Discovery myself, who informed me the policy cancellation had not been received. Honestly, why use a broker at all if I had to do this?

I lost my car keys and called them on Tuesday afternoon. Spoke to 5 different people. Incompetent staff with empty promises. no one to date has called me back with some tangible feedback, when I do get through I have to repeat myself and I am promised a call back. Stupid questions asked, like are you married or single.... They cant tell me what is going to happen. When I asked if there is an excess I get told they don't know. My car is still standing and no one has come out. I have had to Uber to get my son to school, to work, to the shops. I have even called my broker and no joy. Wealth Capital Solutions. Charlene from Wealth Capital solutions has promised to get this resolved and still nothing. I have car hire on my policy but that apparently doesn't apply as I didn't have an accident. I sent an email complaint today and no one has even called me about it yet. Definitely the worst service I have ever received. I have spoken to a Sheree, Daphne (the worst), Smangiliso, Lizelle and Charlene. Husan from the towing company even called me but couldnt tell me anything either except that he will tow my car to my home. I asked what the point of that would be as it need a new key. I was told I must choose what I am claiming for a locksmith or lost keys, I cant claim for both. I am only covered for R500 towing, the rest is for my account. I am taking this further is something is not done and this is not resolved to my satisfaction. The costs I am incurring and inconvenience is unbelievable.

I would like to have the matter clarified. My claim was registered with my broker. The call was made to register the claim and a guy by the name of Kyle advised that the person who will be handling the claim is Muhammed Essop. Muhammed's service is appalling to be exact. My knowledge of a broker is that an insurance broker is a professional who offers, negotiates, and sells policies. He acts as intermediary between insurers and customers and receives compensation. By the way my claim was repudiated based on the fact that Muhammed Essop failed to understand my reason for claiming. I am in the process of disputing the claim but that is not the reason for my complaint. Muhammed Essop has not once contacted me, my attorney had to contact him on a daily basis. I would like Wealth Solutions Capital Brokers to know that I am terminating my contract with them due to the fact that their staff has no empathy nor transparency towards their clients. If you receive a broker fee on a monthly basis from me , aren't you suppose to GIVE ME SERVICE??? I request that you refund me all the broker fees you've received from me. I was a loyal and honest client for years and this is the service and treatment that I received when I lodged my first claim. And lastly please train your staff to treat clients equally because the day my attorney called for feedback Muhammed Essop was pleased to inform her that the claim has been repudiated. I think he was happy to get rid of us by supplying the rejection letter. My honest opinion is that I might be a foreigner but I am an educated foreigner and I deserve the service that I pay for!!!

To whom it may concern. 28 January 2018 I Joel Glover wish to state the following case against CIB Insurance Company, for Cancelling my Insurance with effect 30 November 2017, for as they argue Fraud from AA 1 Stop Plumbing. I wish to present all the relevant Information that I broke down for your ease of reference to prove our case against theirs. I and ask you get them to change their letter and resolve this matter once and for all. I had a General Manager, Amanda Du Plessis that worked for AA 1 Stop Plumbing since 23/04/2015. In July 2017 my new Finance Manager Leticia found evidence that the General Manager, Amanda Du Plessis had been stealing lots of money in the company for several months. We confronted her and she resigned with immediate effect. My HR Manager set up an exit interview with Amanda Du Plessis, where she admitted to the theft. Amanda Du Plessis then threatened to black mail me with affidavits she had made regarding a trailer and the insurance claim on 11 January 2017. (Amanda Du Plessis showed me both the affidavits she had made at the police station, and handed them to me to keep). I told her I could not be black mailed as I had nothing to hide. She wanted me to not go open a case against her at the police station. We did go open a case against Amanda Du Plessis for theft and Fraud CAS 645/10/2017 at the Kempton Park Police Station. After she found out about the case that was opened against her, she submitted her affidavits to CIB Insurance. Stephen Sales from CIB Insurance contacted me to meet me regarding the allegations from Amanda Du Plessis affidavits. 1.Advertising Trailer Twice have my Advertising Trailers been impounded by the Metro Police and on both occasions have I gone to retrieve them, once at JHB City and the other time at Kempton Park. When we found out that the Advertising Trailer in (Amanda Du Plessis affidavit) was missing, I immediately phoned Armand from Savvy Lavvy Adds, who has an advertising trailer company to ask him to be on the lookout for my trailer at all the impounds, as I had no notification that the trailer was ever taken by the Metro Police. (A lie from Amanda’s Affidavit). I did my best to find the Trailer, and wanted to find it rather than claim. I wanted to find the trailer because to buy one is expensive and costs about R20 000.00 and to do the branding on a trailer is another R10 000.00 and it takes time to modify and build. After about 2 weeks of not finding the trailer and contacting Armand again to find out if he has seen the trailer and he said that he did not, we gave it up as stolen. The Trailer did not have a number plate on as I only put number plates on the 2x existing trailers I had left (another Lie from Amanda’s Affidavit), so if a trailer gets taken by anyone they can find me on the number plate in the future. (There was no proof that our trailer was ever at Boksburg Impound as Stephen Sales from CIB Insurance found no evidence on all the trailer registration numbers.) Amanda only added photos of the 2x current trailers with number plates on her affidavit. After about 3 to 4 months, Armand one day phoned me and said that he thinks my trailer is at the Boksburg Impound if I wanted to go and have a look. I went there and as I looked around in between all the trailers about 5-6 rows back was the trailer that was missing. It was not in a good condition and it was not possible to even remove it from its position to bring it out to use again, and I left it there. I honestly did not know to phone the Insurance Company to report that I had found the trailer. The claim was already closed. I also think we had moved Insurance to CIB Insurance by that time. If I had just left the trailer and never asked around to look for the trailer it seems it would have been to my benefit right now. What is also confusing for me is that CIB Insurance in their amended and Last letter that we currently have, stated that we claimed the trailer already in 2015 from a previous Insurer, where Amanda on her affidavit says that I received a notification from the Metro police only in Feb 2016????? The Break in 11 January 2017 Keys to the Save: Amanda Du Plessis stated in her police affidavit that I had lied to the police about where the keys for the Kwabuntu Motors save was, in my police statement and to the Insurance Company. (Amanda Lied gain on her affidavit.) In both my police statement and my meeting with Greg Varvarigos the CIB Insurance assessor it was found that it contradicted Amanda’s sworn affidavit.(Amanda was lying again.) The Vulcan Cellphones: Evidence 1. Nowhere in my statement to the police did I mention theft of the 8 x Vulcan cellphones. Evidence 2. Nowhere in Amanda’s affidavit about the break in on 11 January 2017 did she mention any fraud relating to the 8x Vulcan cellphones. Derrick Gevers who was a Director in AA 1 Stop Plumbing and held 5% shares in the company was the Operations Manager. Derrick was responsible for all the day to day operations between the operations staff, plumbers and clients. Vulcan Cellphones: We sought tough durable phones for the plumbers to use. My friend at Vodacom Vicky who worked with the big corporate accounts, advised us to buy the Vulcan phones as they were better in her experience than the CAT phones as the CAT phones she sold her client (ADD Outpost, about 80 Phones) many came back for charging point errors. We bought 8x Vulcan phones on a contract and were told we had a 2 year warranty on the phones. The phones worked well in the beginning but as time went on we started having problems with one of the phones. I went and bought another Vulcan phone Cash without a contract so all the phones would be the same. If something happens to one and we send it in under warranty we will still have a spare phone to use. Vulcan Phones in for repair: Evidence 3 The Vulcan Phones went in for repairs so much that it affected our Business. The Vulcan Phones went in 10 times : June 2x July 3x August 1x September 4x It was not the same Vulcan phone that went in all the time it was 7 different phones. Some went in once, another one twice and another one three times. We opted to buy new phones as the Vulcan phones would come back from the repair center with the same problem or break again. New Phones Bought to replace the Vulcan Phones: Evidence 4 We went to buy 9x new cellphones CASH. August 5x 1x mobi cell and 4x Vodaphone September 1x Vodaphone October 1x Vodaphone November 2x Vodaphone Total 9 Phones bought new. As you can see we bought the new phones as the Vulcan phones came back from repairs, and broke again over a period of time. Derrick Gevers the Ops Manager did not use these Vulcan Phones anymore and had put them in his cupboard and only used the new Phones. Derricks Affidavit stating Quintin ****croft told him how to process the 8x Vulcan Cellphone Claim: Evidence 5 Derrick Gevers the Ops Manager gave an affidavit to the police stating that he had asked Quintin ****croft our Insurance Broker at the time, if we could also put in a claim for these phones as they were broken and we had not used them since November 2016. As we were now claiming for the theft, and would like to know if we can also claim for the phones at the same time. It will be easier as he is already registering a claim, and we can then also put in a phone claim. Quintin ****croft Insurance Broker at time of the Claim: Evidence 6 1. First Loss: Quintin ****croft advised me that the vehicles of Kwabuntu Motors were not insured on a First Loss basis but on Average, and that I was now going to be under insured. I told him that it is not true because we agreed it would be First Loss as he did for his other 2nd hand car dealer client. He said that I was wrong and continued saying that it was Average. I contacted Markus Fourie my Current Broker and asked him to please go and check my policy as Quintin keeps telling me it is Average. Markus Fourie came back to me with a document stating that my policy was in fact First Loss and not Average as Quintin kept telling me. 2. Pay Out Retail on Stolen Vehicles: Quintin also in the beginning of the claim told me that they were going to pay me out Retail on all the Vehicles that was stolen, which was also not correct. They only pay out the cost that I incurred purchasing the vehicle and other costs to repair the vehicle. 3. The Save key: Quintin said that if the save key was kept in the 1 Stop Plumbing office, they would not pay out the Kwabuntu Motors Vehicle theft claim. (This was also wrong as the first time we went to meet with CIB Insurance regarding Amanda’s allegations in her affidavits, Stephen Sales - CIB’s Investigator, told us that it did not matter that the save key was in the 1 Stop Plumbing Office.) 4. Duplication of Claim: Markus Fourie advised me that Quintin also duplicated the claim on both 1 Stop Plumbing and Kwabuntu Motors side and did not specify it per section. 5. Short Term Insurance Code/License: Please also Investigate if Quintin had a short term insurance code/ license at the time to sell these products as I heard a rumor that we had to check this. 6. I will Deny It All: When I phoned Quintin ****croft after the exit interview with Amanda Du Plessis about the affidavits Amanda showed me, Quintin advised me that if anyone would ask him anything he would deny it all. Sharon Poobalan CIB (Quintin’s Boss) 7. Bumper Repair Claim I advised Quintin that I made a repair to the bumper on the VW Golf that was stolen and that I had an Invoice where I had paid for the repair. He said that they can’t pay it out as they can only pay out the vehicle. I told him that it is not correct as know another dealer who had a claim like ours and the Insurance also paid out his repair work. Quintin said that he can’t help me but I can speak to his Boss - Sharon Poobalan. I phoned Sharon and explained the whole story to her and she refused to agree and said that they will not pay it out. She even said that they will pay me the R2000.00 spotter’s fee that we incurred on the purchase of the VW Golf form their company as this is not how Insurance works. I told her that I disagreed and that after this claim I will get Markus Fourie to put in a claim and get the money back for the bumper. Markus put in a claim and the Insurance Paid out the Bumper. It just shows how many mistakes were made in handling this claim by Quintin ****croft from CIB Insurance. Never in my affidavit did I lie. In both Amanda’s affidavits she was found lying with proof of that in both cases. Amanda made up lies about me, why with all this hate towards me did she not mention anything about the phones being fraud. This is now the reason I can’t get Insurance. Amanda that made all these allegations did not mention this in her affidavit. It is then strange for me to think why CIB will continue to claim we committed fraud with all this proof I gave them time and again.(It seems to me they have something personal against me.) Both Derrick Gevers and Quintin ****croft confirmed that I did not have any dealings with the phones. Amanda Du Plessis and Derrick Gevers are both not working for 1 Stop Plumbing anymore, yet I am the one struggling to get Insurance. Quintin and Sharon’s Story: Quintin and Sharon says that they have proof Amanda send Quintin a mail to say the phones were stolen. The only mails and documentation send to the Insurance regarding the phones was send on instruction from Quintin ****croft, and the way he Instructed Derrick Gevers to go about the phone claim. There is so much proof here that we did not commit Fraud. Derrick only followed the advice of Quintin ****croft. If it was a misunderstanding between Quintin and Derrick I don’t know, and I don’t think so. I know our side is clean. CIB Cancelled the Policy: CIB send a letter to cancel our insurance, stating that we committed fraud. As of 30 November 2017 we were without insurance. Markus took this letter from CIB and tried getting Insurance at Santam, Mutual and Federal and Guard Risk. They all declined it as the letter stated we committed fraud. Breaking the phones: After the go ahead from Quintin ****croft the we can proceed with the claim on the phones, we took the phones and broke them so the plumbers could not take anything for themselves, as we do with all material we dispose of, to not tempt them to steal anything. We don’t want them throwing away any things and then collecting it from the rubbish bin later. What do they do at Spar with the leftover food or at Steers with the leftover Ice-cream, they throw it away, it’s nothing new. Second meeting at CIB offices: Myself, Markus Fourie, Stephen Sales and Elsa Jordaan had a first meeting regarding the allegations on Amanda’s affidavit. Myself, Markus and Derrick went to go see CIB for a second time to prove out case around these allegation. Stephen said I was guilty as I had confirmed it on the recording, which I denied. I asked Stephen to play back the tape- In the 5 minutes of the tape recording I told Stephen time and again that we did not commit fraud. Yes the phones were not stolen I told him, and yes we claimed phones through Quintin as per Quintin’s advice, after Derrick asked him how to go about the claim. Time and again I said that and then Stephen tells me after all that on a technical thing I am guilty. I ask Guilty of what? Markus asked Elsa Jordaan to please bring in the Human factor here as all this shows that we did not commit fraud. Elsa then said we can’t hold her to anything, but that she will see if she can change the letter so we can get Insurance, and that she will get back to us in this regard. Elsa Jordaan Respond - to the 1st Fraud letter: Elsa came back to Markus stating that if Joel Glover signs a CIB document and pays in the balance, and sends the signed CIB document and a copy of the proof of payment to her before “close of business on 15 December 2017” she will amend the letter so we can get Insurance. We agreed as we need insurance, we run a business with plumbers going out to clients daily. Elsa Jordaan only took out the Fraud part and Markus could still not get Insurance for 1 Stop Plumbing at any of the Insurance company’s he tried earlier. With the newly amended letter from Elsa Jordaan we were back where we started all over again. Insurance Declines: Markus asked me to try and send the letter to OUTsurance to see if they will Insure me. They came back within 2 hours and also declined me based on the letter from Elsa Jordaan. It was now deep into December 2017 and we still didn’t have Insurance. Markus also tried Hollard for insurance in January 2018 and they also declined on the basis of the CIB letter. Now 5x different Insurance company’s all declined us due to the CIB letter. I mailed Elsa and told her that she had broken the agreement we had. She said that she can’t amend the letter again and that she will speak to her Managing Director when he returns on Monday 15 January 2018. On 17 January 2018 Elsa replied to my mail saying that she had spoken to her Managing Director and that they will not change the letter. Meeting With Quintin ****croft and Sharon Poobalan – Wealth Solutions Capital: On Friday 19 January 2018 I had a meeting with my previous Insurance Broker- Wealth Solutions Capital who had me insured at CIB during the 11 January 2017 claim. Myself and Derrick met with Sharon, Quintin and Mohammed. Sharon said that they are willing to help but that she first needs to take this matter to her legal department and then she will get back to me. On Friday 26 January 2018, I phoned Sharon Poobalan- Quintin’s Boss, to get feedback, she advised me that they can’t help us with this Insurance letter CIB gave us. I have really done all I can to resolve this matter and now I come and ask you to please assist, to sort out this letter from CIB Insurance and ask them to Cancel their letter so I can get Insurance again. Today as I am writing this letter it is 28 January 2018, we have been without Insurance under 1 Stop Plumbing for 1 month and 28 days now. I have 8 Plumbing vehicles out on the road Monday to Friday and standby teams on the Weekends. Claims already not Paid out by CIB Insurance: In the Time period before CIB cancelled the Insurance on 30 November 2017: -We had 1 phone stolen that was not paid out due to CIB saying we committed Fraud. The value of the phones is R2400.00 -As well as a 2013 Corsa Utility Bakkie valued at R95 000.00 A Nigerian without Insurance skipped a Red Robot and hit our Corsa Bakkie that came from the Municipal building where our driver had gone to pay our utility bill, just up the road from our offices. CIB refused to pay out this claim because they said I committed fraud. The bakkie was marked as written of and had a Retail value of R95 000.00 I had to collect this vehicle from the impound at my own cost. The vehicle was damaged by a forklift somewhere from the it was taken from the accident scene till we collected it again, no one is claiming any ownership of this. I also had to pay all the storage fees, Towing fee, legal costs, FAM, Netassess and legal tracking totalling R9803.26 . CIB Calculation and Document from Elsa Jordaan that I had to sign so she would change the letter for me to get Insurance. I had to pay them the full 1 Stop Plumbing claim of 11 January 2017 (the phones, laptops, repairs to ceilings the guard exct.) at R116 020.20. This was in the previous year’s contract date with the insurance January 2017 yet Elsa Jordaan didn’t pay back any other monies I paid in premiums for that whole contract year. (1 February 2016 till 31 January 2017) The Insurance pay out to 1 Stop Plumbing on the 8x Vulcan Phones were R3000.00 per phone = R24 000.00 in total. I don’t see why she had me pay back the full R116 020.20. (Maby she thinks that she as the Insurance Company can just do as she pleases because I am a smaller company compared to them.) The Insurance was going to pay me back all my premium money from 1 February 2017 till 31 November 2018. Less all claims and less the broker commission. We still had to pay in R8 567.81 in to CIB Insurance’s bank account after their calculations, for Elsa Jordaan to change the letter. We were insured for the phones, we did not put in a Fraud claim for phones we did not have. Please look into this matter as I am unhappy with what this has turned into. Kind Regards Joel Glover ********** Owner AA 1 Stop Plumbing.
