I’m utterly disappointed with this Honda dealership. I would never take my car again to be serviced there and this is my 3rd Honda. I had a problem with the ignition on my Honda Ballade, couldn’t always start the car on the 1st try. I took the car to Honda and explained that something is wrong with the lock as it’s not starting every time. 5 hours later they called me to say that my starter motor needs to be replaced and the cost will be R 14 000. I refused and took my car back home, called auto electrician who fixed the lock for R1400. Honda diagnosed the issue incorrectly (it was the lock, not the starter). Regardless of that, online, a starter motor costs R2400, not sure where they get R14 000. It looks like they just throw out an amount and if someone bites, they gain.

I have been driving Honda bikes for a long time now. I am a Honda fan, but I will not go to this Honda again. Next time I would rather going to the one in Sandton. My bike was at this Honda for a service and rear brake pads and disc replacement. They told me the break disc will be there on Friday. They never phoned me, so I called them the following Tuesday after which they informed me the part arrived Monday. After they were done with the service and replacement of parts, I collected my bike, while I was driving home my rear brake stopped working. When I got home it started working again but it is worse than before they changed it. I must push the rear brake until it cannot go anymore to get the brake to work even slightly. Honda bikes are so reliable, but it does not help if you have incompetent people working on them. Also halve of their staff does not wear facemasks in the time of COVID. Even when standing close to you and talking to you. Disgusting experience.

I purchased a used Honda Ballade from Westrand Honda in 2016. First of all I must say the car is really comfortable and drives very nicely. But that's where the good news ends! There was damage to the carpet which were eventually repaired under guarantee, but it took at least three months of arguing to get the work carried out. I took out an unlimited maintenance plan: I wish I'd never done that - It was very expensive, and every time I went in for a service, I had to fight to get them to recognise that I had a service plan. I've been in contact with Honda Head Office, but I'm still waiting for them to come back to me. To summarize, I can only say that every time I walk out of that dealership, I have a foul taste in my mouth. At least I've enjoyed driving my car, but I would never do business with Westrand Honda again!

First of all. I would like to express my gratitude to Lungile for his service at the start of this process. Went in looking to buy a pre owned car at a cash deal. I have been to view the vehicle approx 5 times now. Advising him and the manager that as soon as we hear back on a couple of concerns the purchase will be a done deal. As feedback we were advi awaiting the main workshop manager to give final approval, however the technicians stated the gearbox was running normal. We advised we would be there by 1 pm to sign the papers. And cash would be transferred upon approval of the workshop manager. For now the 3rd day running of speaking to and meeting with the manager Keveson and Lungile who were very much aware of the concerns and noted the fact the deal was done upon approval of the feedback. We go there jump in the car for the final time, seeing the manager also and only upon presenting my documents the manager now advises the car has been sold, half hour before we arrive. Not only did we receive bad customer service from a very rude salesman they are complete and utter snakes. Who steal deals behind their own colleagues backs. We were advised that we would be phoned at 3pm which is the cut off deal for the finance deal as promised by the manager. This did not happen and we had to sit and wait for an answer on this. And in return have to phone them another 3 times after this to actually get an answer. And the manager avoided 2 of these calls. The cut off point was 3pm and advised we could take the deal. However they gave us a final answer at 4pm They have completed wasted our time and effort even upon the poor service and rudeness of the manager and the other colleague we were still patient enough to sit and wait for an answer. We are completely appalled with the service we have received from Honda West Rand. This is not how business is conducted and has left a very sour taste with ever going through them again.

I was interested in purchasing a used Civic from this dealership. Vehicle was advertised as having a Full Service History with Honda. After a test drive , I enquire about the service history and they assure me that the books will be provided by the time I take delivery. I am willing to pay a premium for this vehicle purely because it was low mileage and apparently had a full service history with Honda. After paying the deposit and waiting a week for them to prep the vehicle, I am told the service history cannot be found, but that they will do a "combined" service to make up for the two year gap in service history which will make it a "full service history" vehicle. This is utter nonsense because even Honda themselves would cancel your motor plan or warranty if you didn't service it for two years and then decided to catch-up the service history by doing a combined service. I ask for a reduction in the purchase price of the vehicle commensurate with the vehicle's new status as having a partial service history. They refuse stating that vehicle stock is hard to come by and they will find another buyer (sucker) for the vehicle. They told me they would sell the vehicle even though I signed an OTP AND paid a deposit for the vehicle. ****ty service, ****ty staff from the used car manager to the dealer principal to the Imperial dealership manager. Profits over customers.

My Honda CBR300R is less than a year old, and left me on the highway, engine just stalled and it wouldnt start, i booked in my bike at Honda Westrand as it is the closest dealer to my home, my bike was booked in arround the 14th December 2016 and is still at Honda Westrand today 03rd March 2017. the Service Manager Johan Ellis never contacts me to keep me updated, i constantly call for updates, i hear the same excuse everytime "its a big job it takes time, we dont want to rush it" but they are fixing other bikes and not prioritising mine, this is beyond terrible service, Honda SA needs to do something about this!

Sent this to Honda West Rand. NO REPLY

Yesterday I purchased a bottle of power stearing fluid at your branch. This cost me R330..which is shocking enough!!!! The sales person, a lady, was very professional. I asked her if someone could help me as I dont even know where the oil goes and dont know when it is full. She agreed and I went to pay. I had to look for someone to pay. Nobody was there! Someone from the workshop then arrived and asked Comine who the person was that needed the power steering oil done. I have know Comine for more that 10 years as I am a loyal customer. I was told....much to my shock, dismay and disgust that I needed to book my car in for a person to help me. ***. I will ensure that the entire universe is aware of your shocking customer sevice and will never return again.

Regards

Roderick Murdoch
