I recently purchased the Cloud Bed (Como Sand) from Weylandts and, while the design is absolutely beautiful and the quality looks premium, I’ve been extremely disappointed with the comfort of the headboard. The headboard is very firm and completely upright, with almost no give, which makes it impossible to sit comfortably in bed. Even with additional pillows, the pressure on my back is severe. I’ve tried multiple cushion combinations, but nothing helps — the angle and hardness of the headboard causes significant back pain every time I try to sit up. For a piece in this price range, I expected far better ergonomic comfort. The bed looks gorgeous, but it’s not functional for everyday use, especially for anyone who reads or works in bed. I’m hoping Weylandts will provide guidance or a solution, because right now I’m really struggling with this purchase and I’m disappointed given the investment.

What a shocking and disappointing experience - bought the Easy Living sofa from Weylandts at over R100k and after less than three years the material is tearing (having treated it as per instructions) - on contacting them we get a - sorry out of warranty, and we cant even replace what is torn as it is discontinued and replaced with 'thicker' material. We where told we can purchase the new thicker material at R38k!!! and it will take 6 months - WHAT A JOKE!!!!! You would expect a R100k sofa to last a couple of decades!!!!! Stay away - service and quality is shocking!!!! I will be taking this to the consumer council!!!

The situation regarding the furniture I purchased at the recommendation of an independant interior designer from Wyelandts (who according to Kirsten at the KZN Umhlanga branch does a large amount of work with them) is indeed troubling, especially considering the expectation of quality and durability that comes with new, brand-name furniture. It appears that my experience is not isolated, as there are discussions online indicating similar concerns from other customers regarding the quality of materials and longevity of Wyelandts products. And the misinterpretation and false advertising of items specifications. (contravention of the Consumer Protection Act 71 of 2008). I can with morality and integrity state that not one item purchased in my experience has met these standards, and therefore I have the right to a repair, replacement, or refund, even if out of warranty/ guarantee. Wyelandts' products are not living up to the advertised standards or the materials used are not as described, and after years of unpleasant dealings with Wyelandts I believe it is now worth exploring my options legally, and providing a detailed account with photographic evidence of all my furniture on social media as well as the response and sometime lack thereof from Wyelandts. I have documented all communication and kept a record of the defects, and believe this information will be crucial if legal action becomes necessary. Consulting with an attorney could provide clarity on the best course of action based on the specifics of my dealings with Wyelandts. I have continually tried to remain optimistic and remind myself that while legal recourse is an option, it's also worth considering the potential for a resolution through continued dialogue with Wyelandts and belive that morally Wyelandts understands that what they have provided has not lived up to the expectation or quality discribed or anticipated, and possibly escalating the matter to higher levels of management or utilizing social media. It is unfortunate that my dream home experience that I waited 16 years to furnish brand new has been marred by so many challenges, this is my last attempt to get this resolved before I go legal and utilize social media platforms. I furnished my entire home ( Lounge, dining room, 4 bedrooms) in Wyelandts furniture in 2019, first of all we had to sleep on the floor as the delivery was late, within first 6 months lounge carpet was replaced, lounge suit was replaced as the seats collapsed. Lounge suit side table replaced. Within a year a bed side table was replaced as the wood started pealing off. Since 2021 without any feedback I communicated my concern regarding my beds leather was pealing (at this stage I highly doubt it is genuine leather), dinning room table the wood has divids in it (which I have been advised is ‘normal’), my main bedroom bed collapsed due to an inferior frame and a steel frame was insirted with only a 1 year guarantee despite me advising that it would not last as the frame it seems is made out of ply wood under the so called genuine leather so the *****s do not hold, I also raised my concern that the frame/ legs of my lounge suit coffee table, side table and tv cabinet which were all powder coat have all rusted, the legs of my lounge suit are no longer black but crème. All have been ignored and shrugged off, I e mailed again and then resorted to calling.

After ordering and paying for an item I was for the fisrt time informed that the one item would have a delay on delivering. It is almost a month later and after I hasd to follow up I am informed that "it might" only be available at the end of July...nearly 2 months from Payment and Ordering date. If I was told from the begnning (before I paid for the item) I would have made a different purchase.

Weylandts has shown a complete arrogant disregard for their customers Regardless if I was refunded, false advertising and misrepresentation is in contravention of the Consumer Protection Act 71 of 2008 and it was not only my specific product that was false advertised and misrepresented. I want to share my profound disappointment with the service and product quality I have received from Weylandts. As a company that prides itself on quality, craftsmanship, design, and the use of natural materials, it is disheartening to see how these values have been compromised. In the competitive landscape of retail, complacency and arrogance are the harbingers of a brand’s downfall. When a company like Weylandts loses sight of its founding principles—quality, craftsmanship, and customer satisfaction—it begins a perilous journey towards irrelevance. The erosion of trust and loyalty is a steep price to pay for short-term gains. I saw an advert online for a Haiku bed at Weylandts with a solid Oak frame and was interested in buying expecting high degree of craftmanship, natural materials and design which are the values of Weylandts. · 17 April 2023 – Confirmed with the sales assistant (Jasmiena) that the Haiku bed was available for viewing in the store in Greenpoint. · 19 April 2023 – Visited the store in Greenpoint, and the bed was not on display. I asked the sales assistant where the bed was, and she said it must have been removed (which is unlikely). Also informing that the bed is nowhere to be seen at any store. She then proceeded to show me another bed and said the Haiku is similarly constructed and she confirmed they use solid Oak wood, and then Oak veneer is put over this, which I asked her doesn’t make sense to me and she explained it was to account for wood swelling (I did not know enough about wood to question her) · 26 April 2023 – Made the payment and found out Weylandts charges a ridiculous R1000 for deliveries. · 3 May 2023 – The bed is delivered and to my shock I see there is not a trace of any solid Oak. The bed is entirely made from chipboard which has an Oak like veneer. The middle section of the bed has two big chipboard squares, which your mattress will lay on and which would be visible. · 3 May 2023 – Emailed the sales assistant to tell her my shock to see the bed made from chipboard. · 3 May 2023 – Sales assistant responded and she to their (not sure who this is) knowledge it’s a solid Oak frame · 5 May 2023 – Emailed the sales assistant with additional pictures and to share my frustration at being deceived and **** to by Weylandts and asking how they are going to resolve this. · 6 May 2023 – Customer care (Shan) responded, offered apologies, and making it to be an IT issue. Making the excuse that they are trying to put less strain on natural resources as a response to the blatant false advertising and deceit. They would collect the bed, refund me and give me an 10% off my next Weylandts purchase. · 10 May 2023 – Emailed to tell them that the 10% of future purchase at a store that **** to me was an insult and they need to give me credit and also make up for my discomfort and time lost due to this misrepresentation. · 10 May 2023 – Customer care (Shan) emailed me to say, that they would not charge me any fees for collecting and assembling their misrepresented product, they sold to me under false pretenses. They also confirmed that they other beds which advertised solid Oak frames, also did not have solid Oak frames To all of their solid Oak beds were false advertising. Did not receive any communication from Weylandts customer care and details of the supposed 10% discount. · 13 May 2023 – Collected the bed. · 15 May 2023 – Refunded me the amount I paid. Regards, I hope you can help hold them accountable.

I bought the cuban tufted sofa with the 2x ottomans however it is loosing colour and I also tried to report to Weylandts on email and even in store in Cape Town, a defect on the ottoman, nobody seems to be interested to assist. I completely dissatisfied about the colour issue for such an expensive item. Can someone help…

I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with Weylandts, and I feel compelled to share my ordeal to warn others. I purchased a bed base from Weylandts online, expecting a smooth and timely delivery process. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. After waiting for over a month without any communication regarding my order, I decided to reach out to Weylandts for an update. To my shock, I was informed that the bed base I had purchased and paid for was no longer in stock. To me, it seems they had sold my purchased item which was in stock at the time of my purchase. The lack of proactive communication from Weylandts was disheartening. They held onto my money for a month without informing me of the stock issue. Only after my inquiry did they let me know they had no stock, offering no alternatives or an estimated time for new stock availability. Compounding the frustration, I had already disposed of my previous bed base on the day of my purchase from Weylandts, leaving me without a proper sleeping arrangement for over a month. This lack of concern for their customers is unacceptable. What further exacerbated my disappointment was their response to my request for a refund. Instead of promptly processing a return, Weylandts requested three months' worth of bank statements?! After giving proof of bank account, the return of the funds took an additional 5 days with no effort to get the funds back to me in a more timely manner. In stark contrast, while I waited for my funds to be returned by Weylandts, I ordered a bed base from another supplier at half the price. Remarkably, the new bed was delivered and installed within 24 hours of my purchase, showcasing a level of efficiency and customer service that Weylandts sorely lacks. My advice to potential customers: steer clear of Weylandts. Save yourself the money, frustration, and potential health issues by choosing a more reliable and customer-centric supplier for your furniture needs.

Disappointed to say the least. Went to Kramerville today - was one of the very first customers in store, only to find that “big” furniture items that has been marked off by 50% - 70% has already been sold? According to all your marketing information for this specific sale it says that you can only purchase items *in-store*. How can the sale items be sold or reserved already? Please explain how this works so that there is no confusion in future.
