I sent a set of rims to Wheel collision Cape Town for refurb. They quoted me over R10k , I accepted because I have used them before and they did good work. When collecting them I noticed the inside of the rims were half painted , I took them regardless because they already took more than a week later than promised So I painted them myself. A few days later I noticed the one wheel losing pressure , after close inspection I found a bubble in the paint on the rim and that is where the air is escaping . I called Chris the manager at Wheel Collision Cape Town and he came to me and promised to give it his personal attention and correct the matter. A few months later I noticed that same wheel losing pressure again and again a bubble in the paint on the rim . I contacted Chris again and he offered to collect and repair again but what would be the point if they cannot do it with all their modern equipment they brag about and the manager giving it his personal attention .

This should be a zero star rating. My car was referred to Wheel Collision in Montague Gardens for a scratch on my rim. I was told it would take 2 days. They kept my car for 4 days and when I tried to call; the Manager, Cheslyn, was rude and abrupt with me on the phone regarding the lack of fulfilling HIS timeline of two days. He disregarded that he could not commit to his time frame and also made me wait 10 minutes on the phone, on hold; knowing my car wasn’t ready. He then proceeded to make sure I get my car at the very end of the 4th day. Very rude poor customer service and clearly a representation of what the company stands for. The customer is clearly NOT first in their eyes. I definitely will not recommend this company to anyone and I will never use their services again!!

Be very sure before you deal with this business. Had my Volvo rim send to them by the business that had to repair the car after hitting a pothole. Rim came back craftsmanship is ****, rim had a dent in it and the skimmed so much material of the rim that the clear bead on the outside of the rim was 12mm instead of 6 mm. When contacted regarding the bad repair the answer was "remember the client gave us a secondhand rim" I rest my case right there. Then came the question regarding the pressure censor in the tire their answer " there never was a pressure unit in the wheel". So your wheel will look **** and your censor will be gone. Had the car serviced a week before with Volvo, they would not have given the car back with a censor gone. Maybe rims like Volvo and other cars are a bit too big a ask for these guys and then dont trust them with anything. They will just say it was not there and you gave us a second hand rim.

My husband took two rims to be repaired at Tiger Wheel & Tyre Strubens Valley. To our surprise, we received an email notifying us that the one rim would be s****ped because they were unable to repair. This is after they did some welding work on the rim. The explanation given was that because of previous work done on the rim, they are unable to stop a leak and a new rim would have to be purchased. Firstly when the two rims were taken in, they did not say that they wouldn’t be able to repair it if work was already done previously. Secondly they mention that they have done some welding on the rim and could not stop it from leaking air. How are you not able to stop it leaking but when the rim was sent in, it did not have a leak. Lastly they say we need to purchase a new one, at whose cost because certainly they cannot expect it from us seeing that they failed and in their failure, we now sit with a leaking rim. We responded to their email requesting answers and received no response back. We have also not received our rims back and they have been sitting with them for weeks now. We are frustrated and quite frankly upset about this situation and to leave us with no answers is unprofessional and unbecoming for an establishment like this. Very disappointed in them. Wheel Collision was also involved in this incident

I recently took my Mini JCW # Door Hatch to Wheel Collision at Acutt Street, Durban to have a damaged rim repaired. I dealt with a gentleman by the name of Kimoshan. The job should have taken a minimum of 3 - 4 days. After explaining to Kimoshan that I would be highly inconvenienced without the vehicle for up to 4 days, and pleading with him to try and get the vehicle back sooner, he assured me that he would make a plan. The vehicle was dropped off on Thursday morning 17th October 2024. Kimoshan kept to his promise as on Friday afternoon at approximately 15h00 I happily drove my vehicle out of their premises at Acutt Street in Durban. In addition to this, on inspecting the repaired rim I was astonished, as it looked like a brand new rim which had just come out of the factory. This is what I call 5 star service. Thank you Kimoshan and your team. I am one extremely happy as well as satisfied customer. I HIGHLY recommend Wheel Collision to any vehicle owner who needs to have their damaged rims repaired, as besides excellent service, all the staff starting from the reception lady Zama, right through to the driver who reversed my vehicle out of the garage, are extremely friendly

I am very unhappy with wheel collision in gauteng. I handed my sports car wheel into tire wheel and tire to be painted all gloss black. And tire wheel and tire sent it to wheel collision for the work to be done. I paid R8 000 for this work. My car did not even drive with the new painted wheel and the paint started flacking off. I took the wheels back to tire wheel and tire because I was given a gaurantee on paint work. Tire wheel and tire together with wheel collision refuse to fix their badly painted work and refuse to fix wheels under warranty as promised. Very bad service from wheel collision and I highly reccomend people to be carefull of taking your mags there. R8000 in the water.

Would not bother with these guys and their 'partners' Tiger Wheel and Tyre. Trying to get any information or quotes out of them is akin to trying to extract a Great White Shark's tooth with a pair of over-cooked spaghetti noodles. And based on most of the reviews related to botched repairs and lack of accountability, it is probably a blessing in disguise that they could not be ****d.
