Perfect date night
The best food ever. The waitresses take such good care of myself and boyfriend. Make you feel so comfortable and if you were struggling on what to order, suggestions were recommended. Good quality food worthwhile. It was just so amazing and even got a dish from the chef , which is very rare in most restaurants.everything was spot on . Perfect date night was made.

Perfect date night
The best food ever. The waitresses take such good care of myself and boyfriend. Make you feel so comfortable and if you were struggling on what to order, suggestions were recommended. Good quality food worthwhile. It was just so amazing and even got a dish from the chef , which is very rare in most restaurants.everything was spot on . Perfect date night was made.

Bad management
I have visited the hotel a week or so ago. The service, food and staff were excellent. However, there needs to be a serious look at the managers of the hotel. I cannot remember the female's name but I am assuming that she is in charge of housekeeping, Hanelie or something. Her attitude towards staff approach was revolting!!!No smile on her face and an extreme militant attitude. She has no people s****s whatsoever and I am thinking to myself....how the heck could you allow your staff to be managed by such a horrible person??? I have never ever witnessed such a horrible manager in my entire life especially in the hospitality industry. You are a wonderful and awesome group and house international guests on a daily but bad managers does definitely NOT PROMOTE YOUR BRAND!!

Bad management

Worst Christmas Day EVEY - not even WORTH on star
After having Sunday Bruch at Winchester Mansions -- I was so impressed that I decided to book Christmas Lunch for my Mom, Dad, 9 year old daughter and me. WHAT AN ABSOLUTE DISAPPOINTMENT AND RIP-OFF!!! Not at ALL what you'd expect for CHRISTMAS DAY!!! (which in my opinion, should be BETTER that Sunday brunch -- not 10 times worse) I had to book and pay upfront - R2400 for the 3 and a half of us. There was such poor variety of food --- for the money that I had paid. When the chafing dishes started emptying at around 14h30 --- my Mom overheard one of the managers saying that they were not going to re-fill. At the end of the meal -- we were given a bill -- and charged 10% service fee on TOP of the 2400 that I'd already paid!! So -- I ended up paying the wages of the serving staff for the day -- R3000 for 3 adults and a child who ate 2 slices of meat and 5 cherry tomatoes. I will NEVER again waste my money on Winchester Mansions ... had great Christmas Day experience at Moyo Kirstenbosch in 2016 -- and will happily return there again If

Bad Service
On Wednesday 12 August 2015, I took my 90yr old mom for tea and Light snack to the Winchester Masions Sea Point after a long drive to Hout Bay, my mom needed to eat as she needed to take medication. We arrived at 1h30 and I went to the Ladies and mom told the waiter she would wait for me to order. Well we waited and was totally ignored by the waiters while they served other guest and chatted among themselves. At 2pm after not beeing attended to we got up and left with no one taking notice of us. I advised the doorman of our experience and was so shocked. We were very dissappointed with the Bad Service we received and will not return. We took our Overseas Family there but will not recommend visiting there again
