Wood****** owner Emile Pelser’s abusive business dealings

The verbal abuse I received via WA from Emile Pelser from Wood******s Tree Services was hair raising. He quoted a price of R6 400 on which a 50% deposit was paid immediately. I made this payment in the normal course of business. The initial agreed price was later increased to R8000 by agreement as he said the job was too big. I made another immediate payment of R3 200 upon his assistance on the same day. He then sent me an invoice for R10 000. After completion of the R8 000 job, I paid the balance of the agreed price of R1 600 immediately. He then sent me a series of WA voice mails screaming at me and using the most foul language for not paying him extra for a job “worth R12 000”. Whilst he sold himself as a big tree removal expert, he did not seem to have the necessary transport, ladder or staff to tackle such a project. He constantly bugged me for immediate payment and extra money, despite agreeing on a contract price. Despite the fact that I was satisfied with the work done, his way of pressurising me to pay him more money was completely unacceptable. His verbal abuse was radical and unprofessional and made me feel vulnerable and unsafe. For this reason I will never use his services again.
