3 years ago when we used WLH they were great! Perhaps cause the booking was straight forward, they quoted, we paid and went on holiday. This time around we were the lucky people who's flight got delayed by a day due to the Mauritius airport being closed due to a cyclone that struck close to the island. Their consultants are absolutely useless and then one of them told us that if we took holiday insurance we could have claimed the lost day with them back, but yet when we make the booking and told them we want everything they never added the insurance. Because we are loosing out now on one day so far we asked them to quote us on extending our stay by a few days as Safair only fly to Mauritius on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, just to be told all the hotels are fully booked, so we are now in contact with the hotel in Mauritius ourselves and they are busy assisting us. The consultants there are absolutely useless and unhelpful especially when an issue occurs

I wish I could give World Leisure Holidays zero stars. We booked an extremely expensive holiday to Mauritius in August 2024. Although we had been to Mauritius 4 times before, we decided to try a new resort, terrible mistake. It was 5 star but not the same experience as we had during our previous holidays. We arrived at our resort and had been given 1 bedroom with 2 double beds and a bathroom with NO doors for 2 adults and 2 teenage daughters. I think WLH could have advised us that the room we booked was not adequate for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. When we complained to WLH, they shrugged their shoulders and did nothing. They had their money, so why bother to do anything. Worst holiday of our lives. We will NEVER use WLH again and it will be a long time before we return to Mauritius sadly.

My recent experience with World Leisure Holidays has left me compelled to share a cautionary tale to prevent others from falling into the same trap. After saving diligently for two years, my partner and I entrusted this travel agency with our dream vacation, only to be met with incompetence and disappointment. Our destination was Seychelles, a place we had always longed to visit. However, World Leisure Holidays failed to inform us that our chosen dates coincided with the rainy season. For six consecutive days, we found ourselves stuck indoors as rain marred our expectations of enjoying the beautiful beaches and exploring the vibrant culture of Seychelles. It was a heartbreaking realization that our hard-earned money had been spent on a holiday we couldn't truly experience. When we reached out to World Leisure Holidays, seeking compensation for their oversight and our ruined vacation, their response was shockingly inadequate. Rather than acknowledging their mistake and offering a fair resolution, they suggested an upgraded room as a solution. Frankly, who wants to spend an expensive holiday confined to their room? We could have done that at home without the hefty price tag. This experience highlights the lack of accountability and customer care exhibited by World Leisure Holidays. Their refusal to address our concerns and compensate for their oversight only added insult to injury. It is disheartening to see a travel agency prioritize profit over customer satisfaction, especially when dealing with a situation that was entirely within their control. In conclusion, I strongly advise against using World Leisure Holidays for your travel needs. Their incompetence and disregard for customer well-being have left me deeply disappointed and frustrated. There are numerous other reputable travel agencies that prioritize transparency and customer satisfaction. Learn from my costly mistake – steer clear of World Leisure Holidays and ensure your dream vacation doesn't turn into a nightmare.

Honeymoon booked 26th June 2023 for 18 September – 24 September 2023 . Had to cancel 2 months prior (14 July 2023) to departing due to unforeseen circumstances. Only terms stated on Flights Centre Invoice was: “If cancelled on or after 18 Jul 2023, a cancellation charge of ZAR 38,449.00 will apply”. I cancelled 14 July 2023and now they come with penalties and no refunds. Its cancelled 2 months in advance so it needs to be refunded. Now I will have to take legal action either with Flights Centre and/or World Leisure Holidays. Let me not leave out Air Mauritius who also wont refund me a cent for cancelling more than 2 months in advance. Somebody needs to do something to protect the customers.

If I had to explain the level of incompetence when simply trying to give this company our hard earned money, you wouldn’t believe it.. over 2 hours across 7 phone calls over 3 days to simply get an invoice showing the correct details in order for me to pay them. This adds stress to the experience which is the exact reason we pay agents to do this as well as the reason we need these holidays. Very disappointed with our experience and hope to have our holiday the opposite of this booking experience with world leisure holidays… let’s see if the are able to complete their role. Will give feedback after the holiday which I am not looking forward too now as am on high alert for any more negligence…not to mention their business class tickets were R12000 more than what we could booked them for ourselves.

In Feb 2020 I bought and paid for accommodation and flight tickets to Mauritius. This was before lock down was on the cards. Yes there was a lot of border closings which i do get. In Januaray 2022 I went to them to get a refund on the Air flight tickets I paid for in Feb. 2020. We tried to change destinations and they "could" only transfer the hotel, not the flight tickets. I was told that due to this, I will have to take a 25% cut on the money. When we spoke to Air Mauritius, they told us the money is still with World Leisure Holidays and that they have not been paid yet. Flight Centre made as if they paid them for our air tickets, and that is why I have to take a 25% cut on money paid . (R21000) I changed the destination to Zanzibar now as I still would like to go on holiday. Should I decide to cancel that, I have to pay again a 25% fee from what I paid..(R20962) Is this normal procedure if payments were made before lock down. It also worries me that air Mauritius referred us back to World Leisure and Flight Centre as they had nothing. To many questions and no real answers..

Had an issue with Flight Centre. Tried to get flight details from this supplier because I couldn't get them from Flight Centre. Put me on hold and hoped I'd go away when I asked what the flight details were.

Dear World Leisure Holidays - Gauteng.. Renchia & Thembi World Leisure Holidays is very quick to forward me their special offers but what happened to you'll getting back to me within 24hrs regarding the vacancy that I've applied for. It has been a few months now with no contact although numerous specials offers received. Is this part of your cost saving strategy or just a norm of World Leisure Holidays. Yes, that's right a few months but no contact. Nevertheless, not to worry as it's pointless being employed by a misleading and disorganized tour operator. So going forward.. kindly refrain from telling applicants that you'll will contact them within 24hrs regarding their application when the applicant doesn't even get a response. Rather advise applicants that World Leisure Holidays will contact them within 3 - 4 working days otherwise they can consider their application unsuccessful. This is definitely unethical business practice or is this a way to ensure that World Leisure Holidays is never forgotten. Hope this makes sense!! Sure you'll understand and catch the drift.
