Wowww. Thank you Yebo. My daughter is 14 now and she has been coming to your shop since she was age 8, building electronics and school projects. I just got off the phone with Justin now. The school projects we need is out of stock at the moment but Justin will have an example and kit ready by later today. Wow again. No other place in Cape town can provide the service you are providing. Thank you Yebo for always be-eing there for us. My daughter have learned so much from you during the years. Kind Regards. Cindy

This may be a long review but it is more a lesson's learned for all the other hobbyist and school project learners who by their components from these stores. I have previously purchased small electronic components from Yebo Electronics Boston and had no problem. Recently I had a new project building a dehumidifier for my Biltong and needed to install 4 x 12v fans. I popped in the store to see if they have stock of the 12v fans. They had a box full available. They where priced a bit high so I popped in next-door to Brights Electric Boston around the corner. They where priced nearly half the price but I only had two in stock so I bought the two and went back and purchased two more plus 4 x fan protector grids from Yebo Electronics. The two sets differed in the Brights fans where the 3 wire fans with the speed measure control wire where the Yebo Electronic fans where 2 wire fans. At neither stores did I ask the store attendant to test the fans. After 2 weeks building the dehumidifier, I was ready to install the fans and wired them parallel into a 12v power supply that I recycled from one of my unused devices. Two of the fans (Brights) started up and the two Yebo fans did not. Initially I thought the micro thin wire connectors did not make contact in the connector blocks. I tested the current with my multimeter and found no continued circuits on both Yebo fans. I then consulted my brother in law who is a electrical engineer in specialised electronic and computer devices. He confirmed no current throughput. Went back to the Yebo store counter and the counter assistant tested the fans and found the same. I asked him to test other fans from the same box. These were working. He then decided that he cannot swop the fans out for two working and tested fans. Bit irate I "dropped" the fans on the counter as they had no use and I could not spend more time to establish if the motor was fried. Went around the corner to Brights and they had new stock of the 12v fans, bought 2 at R102.00 each. Although I again did not have them tested, the store attended assured me that if the do not work, I just have to bring them back if they don't. Went home, wired it up and it worked like the other two. So the lessoned learned was, I should have tested the electronic component's before I left Yebo Electronics so that I did not have to doubt if the stores fans was faulty before or after I left the store. On the other hand, Brights electrical gave me the confidence to take that risk.

Knowing this store very well and their lack of stock, I always phone to find out if they have what I require. I've been let down once again. I made a phone call, which then directs you to a switch board. They then direct me to the Plumstead branch and as per usual no one answers the phone. I then go back to switchboard and lady asks me what I'm needing and if she can help. I tell her exactly what I want and says Plumstead have stock. Great news!!! I get in the car and drive to Plumstead. Guess what???? Plumstead does not have stock (as per usual) So I've wasted petrol and time to go to the store with the cer*****y of getting what I want. Gentleman says why don't you phone. I told him that everytime that I do, no one answers the phone. Sorry we are busy is his answer. Customer service is about providing a service. Pick up the phone when it's ringing and tell the person to hold. That won't take up much time and it shows you are willing. Yebo electronics are not only bad with customer service. They never have stock of simple electronics. They are about 3 times more expensive than anywhere else. They never display their prices either. To top it all, their service is atrocious. I use them when I'm in urgent need. As it's just too far to drive to the other very well capable stores, like communica and mantech, How Yebo electronics is still going is beyond me.

BE CAREFUL who you deal with at Yebo Electronics .... there is a guy there called Jundre who is ripping off customers and Yebo is protecting him. I enquired about a voltage regulator and dealt with 'Estelle' about a back-order. She referred me to a guy called Jundre, who turns out to be a crook. I went to the store in Boston, Cape Town and was directed to Jundre, working at the back of the premises. He produced the parts that I needed, including a secondhand switch (R150) that he claimed he had tested. He also supplied a voltage regulator, which (he said) was from Yebo stock, for R160. I get home, but the switch does not work and I find the regulator is available at another store for R45. I contact Jundre on Whatsapp and he apologises and promises to bring me the cash the next day .. but of course he doesn't pitch up. In an email, Estelle promises to refund me for the switch ... but she doesn't. Now she says Jundre doesn't work for Yebo and she made a mistake referring him to me ... and Jundre is ignoring my calls and messages. This morning I call Yebo and ask for Jundre ... he's right there in the store and the receptionist gives Jundre the phone. Of course he's surprised I found him ... and starts making a lot of excuses ... and puts the phone down. So, it seems Yebo Electronics is hiding crooks there - BEWARE!

Very poor service. I purchase a relay from the Plumstead branch and specifically asked the salesperson if I could return it if I did not use it. He said that could. I purchased the relay and did not use it. About 10 days after purchase I went to the store to return the relay. I got a rude surprise when the salesperson told me that I had taken to long tor return it and showed me a sign stating that. At no time during the purchase was my attention brought to that sign. I called the head office who were not very helpful either.
