This is a warning to anyone contemplating fitting Yokohama Geolandar tyres to their vehicles. Nine months ago I fitted two 225/60 R17 99H Yokohama Geolandar A/T-s GO12 to my four wheel drive SUV, because I travel extensively on rough gravel roads, replacing the Geolandar's that came fitted with the car. I now wish to replace the remaining two tyres with the AT tyres and am told these are no longer available from Yokohama, despite being advertised as available in the tyre range shown on their website. This has long-term implications as ideally all four tyres on the vehicle should be the same. I consider this to be devious advertising that has placed me in the position of now having to replace the two new tyres as well as the old. I have contacted Yokohama via their email comments link on their web page but have received no reply. I've visited four tyre fitment centres and all have received the same comment that these tyres are no longer available. So I wish to warn buyers of Yokohama tyres to be careful as it appears the company is not able to provide the products it claims to supply. I have also made owners aware of this situation on the Subaru Forrester forum where I notice this tyre is often recommended as ideal for off-road use.

I purchased 4 new Achiellies 2233 on the 20/0717 ( Yokahama SA Prooduct ) for my car from TWT sunninghill. Everything was fine until Thursday 27/717 ( 1 week after purchase ) and on my way to Pretoria I felt the car became quite loose on the highway. I proceeded to make my way to the emeremcy lane so I could inspect what went wrong. I saw that the front left wheel went flat. I went back to TWT and they said they will need to get a rep from Yokahama to come and see the tyre. That happend on Monday 31717 morning and it was said that I drove it while flat and that they will not replace it nor assist me in the costs in any way or form. So basically Yokahama SA is saying that if you get a flat tyre while driving slam on the brakes dont worry about the 30 cars behind you and change it in the middle of the highway. This is terrible service from their side and as a result I will NEVER recommend buying their prroducts again.

Yokahama REF NO 7969

This complaint is regarding tires purchased at Tiger Wheel & Tire, on 20 Dec 2014. I purchased a set of Yokohama dB V550 195/65/R15. I drive a 2013 Honda Civic 1.6 Comfort. I would like to lodge a complaint and am seeking reimbursement for the replacement of this set. After purchasing this set of tires I experienced problems with the balancing. After returning to the dealer about 4 times the problem persisted. I am experiencing high vibrations from the tires at higher speeds. The dealer was unable to solve the problem. I went about inspecting the tires myself, upon which I found, to my horror, that the tires are disintegrating. The tire causing the vibrations has cut marks on the surface of the tire. There are also pieces of the surface that has been torn off. A spot on the inside of the tire surface that has been torn. This set of tires has only done 5000km with city & traffic driving conditions. I am completely dissatisfied with the dealer's inability to solve this and am completely disappointed with the quality of the tires. I purchased these tires at great cost and have been inconvenienced during my personal time and working hours. I hope this issue gets your urgent attention.
